Abstract
The security system has become a very important thing in our daily lives. In this globalization era, smart systems are no longer a stranger. One application is the security system. There is an increasing need for security systems that are easier to use and more energy efficient. In this final project, a smart system is implemented to detect the presence of someone visiting the house by using a PIR sensor to detect someone's presence and then activating the camera to take photos of that person. The photos will be processed in Raspberry Pi 3 and sent to an external database that is Firebase to then be accessed by homeowners using an android application that has been integrated with the previous system. In addition there are two servo motors on the camera that are useful for positioning the camera with the face of a person detected by the sensor. From the experimental results the detection distance of the PIR sensor is only up to 4 meters. If the person is out of range, the sensor will not detect. The time of sending a hazard notification that appears on the application during the day is also faster than at night due to the number of internet users accessing data at night.
