Abstract

Along with the current development of computer equipment information technology is absolutely necessary. It is inconceivable how an organization / company can grow and develop without computers. Therefore, the application of information systems is an absolute necessity and can provide a competitive advantage. This can greatly support large, medium and small companies in the fast growing global business competition. When filling in employee attendance because management still uses the attendance list manually. Company management usually implements attendance procedures using fingerprint attendance machines for every employee in the office without exception. A common problem is in the marketing of employees who leave the office more than once in 1 day forgetting to attend, which can affect salary reduction penalties. As a solution to the problem, there must be a presence application using Global Positioning System (GPS) technology. The application works by recording employee attendance at an office location as office entry status and recording out-of-office status when marketing forces leave the office. And also another feature of this application is that it can provide attendance reports, leave requests, employee leave notifications. In this system also applies the Geofence method as an indication of the radius where the user can perform the attendance process. In developing attendance application, the writer uses CodeIgniter as a web framework. Keywords: Attendance, Employee, GPS, Geofence, CodeIgniter Seiring dengan perkembangan saat ini teknologi informasi alat komputer mutlak diperlukan. Hal ini tak terbayangkan bagaimana sebuah organisasi/perusahaan dapat tumbuh dan berkembang tanpa komputer. Oleh karena itu, penerapan sistem informasi menjadi kebutuhan mutlak dan dapat memberikan keunggulan kompetitif. Hal ini dapat sangat mendukung perusahaan besar, menengah dan kecil dalam persaingan bisnis global yang berkembang pesat. Pada saat melakukan pengisian absensi karyawan karena manajemen masih menggunakan daftar hadir secara manual. Manajemen perusahaan biasanya menerapkan prosedur kehadiran menggunakan mesin absensi sidik jari setiap karyawan di kantor tanpa terkecuali. Masalah umum adalah dalam pemasaran karyawan yang lebih dari sekali keluar dari kantor di 1 hari lupa untuk melakukan kehadiran yang dapat mempengaruhi sanksi pengurangan gaji. Sebagai solusi untuk masalah, harus ada aplikasi kehadiran menggunakan teknologi Global Positioning System (GPS). Aplikasi ini bekerja dengan merekam kehadiran karyawan di lokasi kantor sebagai status masuk kantor dan mencatat status di luar kantor ketika kekuatan pemasaran meninggalkan kantor. Dan juga fitur lain dari aplikasi ini adalah dapat memberikan laporan absensi, pengajuan cuti, notifikasi cuti karyawan. Dalam sistem ini juga menerapkan metode Geofence sebagai indikasi radius di mana pengguna dapat melakukan proses kehadiran. Dalam pengembangan aplikasi absensi kehadiran, penulis menggunakan CodeIgniter sebagai web framework. Kata kunci: Absensi, Karyawan, GPS, Geofence, CodeIgniter
