Abstract
The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between psychological well-being and academic burnout in high school students (SMA)/equivalent. In this study using a quantitative correlational design, sampling with convenience sampling technique, and the subjects in this study amounted to 465 students in the Jakarta area with the age of 15-18 years. The measuring instrument used for psychological well-being is The PERMA-Profiler which has been adapted into Indonesian and the academic burnout measuring instrument, the Maslach Burnout Inventory-Student Survey (MBI-SS), has been adapted. The test results show both valid (0.354-0.704) and reliable (0.862-0.900) scales. The data were analyzed using the Pearson correlation technique. The results of this study prove that there is a significant negative relationship between psychological wellbeing and academic burnout for high school students (SMA)/equivalent (r = - 0.171). Meaning element has the highest correlation with the Academic Inefficacy dimension related to meaning and ability. Demographic factors related to age and class provide differences in the variables of psychological well-being and academic burnout of high school students (SMA)/equivalent. Keywords: psychological well-being, academic bunout, students, education Tujuan dari peneltian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kesejahteraan psikologis dengan academic burnout pada pelajar Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA)/Sederajat. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuantitatif korelasional, pengambilan sample dengan teknik convenience sampling, serta subyek dalam peneltiian ini berjumlah 465 pelajar di wilayah Jakarta dengan usia 15-18 tahun. Alat ukur yang digunakan untuk kesejahteraan psikologis yaitu dari The PERMA-Profiler yang telah diadaptasi kedalam bahasa indonesia dan menggunakan alat ukur academic burnout yaitu Maslach Burnout InventoryStudent Survey (MBI-SS) yang telah diadaptasi. Hasil uji coba menunjukkan kedua skala valid (0.354-0.704) dan reliabel (0.862-0.900). Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik korelasi Pearson. Hasil dari penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa terdapat hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara kesejahteraan psikologis dengan academic burnout pelajar Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA)/Sederajat (r = -0.171). elemen Meaning memiliki korelasi paling tinggi dengan dimensi Academic Inefficacy yang terkait dengan makna dan kemampuan. Faktor demografi yang terkait usia dan kelas memberikan perbedaan pada variabel kesejahteraan psikologis dan academic burnout pelajar Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA)/Sederajat.
