Abstract

Predictive maintenance techniques are widely applied in the industrial world, one of which is for rotating machine components. This maintenance technique can detect the type of damage to a machine without stopping the machine's operation. The problem in this study is the high frequency of damage to the wheelhead spindle motor. Therefore, predictive maintenance is applied using vibration monitoring on the spindle wheelhead motor in order to detect early damage to the engine, especially the spindle wheelhead motor. This study aims to obtain vibration analysis to determine the cause of noise and validate the results of vibration analysis. This research method is carried out by detecting damage using vibration signal analysis, measuring the magnitude of the vibration and presenting it in the form of a frequency domain (spectrum) using Fast Fourier Transform. The spindle wheelhead motor condition assessment refers to DIN EN ISO 15641 for velocity, acceleration and standard bearing elements for enveloping. From the vibration analysis data, the results obtained are bearing defects on the cage side on the DE and NDE sides. After dismantling it is true that there are cage defects from both bearings which cause high enveloping values. The application of predictive maintenance with the vibration monitoring method on the spindle wheelhead motor has proven to be effective in reducing the frequency of damage to the spindle wheelhead motor. This predictive maintenance is carried out daily for oil mist monitoring and weekly for vibration monitoring. The implementation of this vibration monitoring has been running and can reduce the frequency of spindle wheelhead motor damage by 50% from the previous year. Teknik perawatan prediktif banyak diaplikasikan di dunia industri yang salah satunya adalah untuk komponen mesin berputar. Teknik perawatan ini dapat mendeteksi jenis kerusakan pada suatu mesin tanpa menghentikan operasi mesin. Masalah dalam penelitian ini yaitu tingginya frekuensi kerusakan pada motor spindle wheelhead. Oleh karena itu, diterapkan perawatan prediktif menggunakan monitoring vibrasi pada motor spindle wheelhead agar dapat mendeteksi kerusakan awal yang terjadi pada mesin khususnya motor spindle wheelhead. Penelitian ini bertujuan memperoleh analisis getaran untuk mengetahui penyebab timbulnya noise dan melakukan validasi hasil analisis getaran. Metode penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mendeteksi kerusakan menggunakan analisis sinyal getaran, mengukur besarnya getaran dan mempresentasikan ke dalam bentuk domain frekuensi (spectrum) menggunakan Fast Fourier Transform. Penilaian kondisi motor spindle wheelhead mengacu pada DIN EN ISO 15641 untuk velocity, acceleration dan standar elemen bearing untuk enveloping. Dari data analisis vibrasi didapat hasil bearing defect disisi cage pada side DE maupun NDE. Setelah dibongkar memang benar terdapat cacat cage dari kedua bearing yang menyebabkan nilai enveloping tinggi. Penerapan perawatan prediktif dengan metode monitoring vibrasi pada motor spindle wheelhead ini terbukti efektif dalam mengurangi frekuensi kerusakan motor spindle wheelhead. Perawatan prediktif ini dilakukan secara daily untuk monitoring oil mist dan weekly untuk monitoring vibrasi. Implmentasi monitoring vibrasi ini sudah berjalan dan bisa mengurangi frekuensi kerusakan motor spindle wheelhead sebesar 50% dari tahun sebelumnya.
