Abstract

EQL is a pharmaceutical service company engaged in testing the levels of chemical compounds in medicinal and biological products. To improve the performance of the company, PT. EQL sets an annual KPI target of 90% for the accuracy of the previous test completion of 80%. Therefore an attempt is made to improve (Continuous Improvement) to identify and minimize waste that occurs during the process flow with the Value Stream Mapping method which is an approach to minimize the waste that occurs in the process flow. Based on the results of the study, it was found that by eliminating the second centrifugation process, changes in SOP sample handling, incorporation of work processes, as well as the addition of material handling, obtained a decrease in the value of future lead time to 16714 seconds from the current lead time of 20656 seconds. EQL merupakan perusahaan jasa farmasi yang bergerak dibidang pengujian kadar senyawa kimia pada produk obat dan biologis. Untuk meningkatkan kinerja perusahaannya, PT. EQL menetapkan target KPI tahunan sebesar 90% untuk ketepatan penyelesaian pengujian yang sebelumnya sebesar 80%. Oleh karena itu dilakukan suatu usaha perbaikan (Continuous Improvement) untuk mengidentifikasi dan meminimasi waste yang terjadi selama aliran proses dengan metode Value Stream Mapping yang merupakan pendekatan untuk meminimasi pemborosan yang terjadi pada aliran proses. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa dengan menghilangkan proses sentrifugasi kedua, perubahan SOP sample handling, penggabungan proses kerja, serta penambahan material handling, didapatkan penurunan nilai future lead time menjadi 16714 detik dari current lead time sebesar 20656 detik.
