Abstract

Short Message service is one of feature from GSM (Global System Of Mobile Communication) that developed and standardized by ETSI (European Telecommunication Standards Institude). SMS is one of media many used by society this time, because sms has rate very cheap compared to speak direct with number of purpose. With media sms, users can detect information that wanted from server, for example sms banking that prepare savings balance facilities to all the customer, sms vote and polling commonly use in programmes live show in several television stations, broadcaster like announcer, warning, reminder be application that can send message sms most of the purpose and character of unidirectional mean sms that enter will not be replied by system. System activator remote functioned to run program application other via sms, autoresponder that can receive sms and reply sms automatically without user interaction at all, forwarder is mediator application between of system and system e-mail, and tester of applications that are more intended to try a system and education. keyword: SMS Gateway, Data Base, Graph Diagram Layanan pesan singkat merupakan salah satu fitur dari GSM yang dikembangkan dan distandarisasi oleh ETSI (European Telecommunication Standard Institude). SMS merupakan salah satu media yang banyak digunakan oleh masyarakat sekarang ini, karena SMS memiliki tarif yang sangat murah dibandingkan berbicara langsung dengan nomor yang dituju. Dengan media SMS, para pengguna dapat mengetahui informasi yang dibutuhkan dari server, misalnya SMS Banking yang menyediakan fasilitas saldo tabungan bagi para nasabahnya, SMS voting dan Polling yang biasa digunakan pada acara-acara live show pada beberapa stasiun televisi, Broadcaster, seperti: Announcer, Warning, Reminder, merupakan aplikasi yang dapat mengirimkan pesan SMS kebanyak tujuan dan bersifat searah artinya SMS yang masuk tidak akan dibalas oleh sistem. System Activator Remote berfungsi menjalankan program aplikasi lain via SMS, Autoresponder yang dapat menerima SMS dan membalas SMS secara otomatis tanpa interaksi pengguna sama sekali, Forwarder yakni aplikasi perantara antara system dan system e-mail, serta Tester yaitu aplikasi yang lebih ditujukan untuk mencoba sebuah system dan edukasi.
