Abstract

ABSTRAK Dalam meningkatkan efektivitas serta mempertahankan mutu dan kualitas produk merupakan fokus utama sebuah perusahaan. PT. Danindo Tape Packaging Industry melakukan perhitungan terhadap efektivitas kinerja mesin terutama pada mesin coating. Coating merupakan proses awal yakni pelapisan plastik OPP dengan lem berbahan dasar air dalam pembuatan lakban. Perhitungan efektivitas dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode OEE dan Six Big Losses pada mesin coating 1 dan mesin coating 2. Setelah dilakukan penelitian, didapatkan nilai rata – rata OEE untuk mesin coating 1 yaitu 65% dan mesin coating 2 yaitu 56%. Losses terbesar yang menyebabkan nilai OEE rendah adalah set up & adjustment dan reduced speed losses. Untuk nilai set up & adjustment tertinggi terjadi pada mesin coating 2 yaitu 17% sedangkan untuk nilai reduced speed losses tertinggi terjadi pada mesin coating 1 yaitu 18%. Faktor penyebab rendahnya nilai OEE dan tingginya nilai losses terdiri dari faktor manusia, metode, material, mesin serta lingkungan. Adapun salah satu penyebab rendahnya nilai OEE dikarenakan terdapat oven yang tidak bekerja secara optimal. Usulan perbaikan yang diberikan diantaranya melakukan perbaikan pada oven yang tidak bekerja secara optimal, dibuatkan kran air untuk membersihkan sisa lem. Nilai OEE mesin coating 1 setelah melakukan perbaikan sebesar 73%. Sedangkan untuk mesin coating 2 sebesar 77%. Perusahaan harus lebih memperhatikan kenyamanan dan keamanan operator dalam bekerja agar tidak mudah timbul kelelahan. PT. Danindo Tape Packaging Industry calculates the effectiveness of machine performance, especially on coating machines. Coating is the initial process of coating OPP plastic with water-based glue in making duct tape. The effectiveness calculation is done using the OEE and Six Big Losses methods on the coating machine 1 and coating machine 2. After doing research, the average value of OEE for coating machine 1 is 65% and for coating machine 2 is 56%. The biggest losses that cause low OEE values are set up & adjustment and reduced speed losses. For the highest set up & adjustment value occurred in coating machine 2, namely 17%, while for the highest reduced speed losses value occurred in coating machine 1, which was 18%. Factors causing the low value of OEE and high value of losses consist of human factors, methods, materials, machines and the environment. One of the causes of the low OEE value is because there is an oven that does not work optimally. The proposed improvements include making repairs to the oven that does not work optimally, making a water faucet to clean the remaining glue. The OEE value of the coating machine 1 after making repairs is 73%. As for the coating machine 2 by 77%. Companies must pay more attention to the comfort and safety of operators at work so that fatigue does not easily arise.
