Abstract

The progress of Technology which is fast so in the field of computer this time, pushing a lot of circle to use system computerize in course of administration, start from governance institution, industrial world, commerce, tourism, etc. This matter, showing how vital and important of technological computer in all area, specially in the world of business. For level business of middle circle downwards, not all can use system of the computerization, because of existence possibility a limitation of finansial and human resource which owning, This matter push writer to try the application of information technology into business world, specially world of Tourism in the field of Hotel. Because there be still among other things which not yet used system computerize, in the activity of its business. On that account writer try to implementation one of application program into activity business of the hotel room rent, in the Hotel of Prapanca residing in area of Kebayoran Baru, what in this case, rent process in this hotel still have the character of manual. Here the writer make an application program, to process administration of hotel room rent, from strarting process of room ordering, price rent and the costumer identity, by using SMS GATEWAY. Keyword : room rent, SMS GATEWAY. Kemajuan teknologi yang begitu pesat dalam bidang komputer sekarang ini, mendorong banyak kalangan untuk menggunakan sistem komputerisasi dalam proses administrasinya, mulai dari lembaga – lembaga instansi pemerintahan, dunia industri, perdagangan, pariwisata, dsb. Hal ini, menunjukan betapa penting dan vitalnya teknologi komputer dalam semua bidang, khususnya dalam dunia bisnis. Untuk level bisnis kalangan menengah kebawah, tidak semuanya dapat menggunakan sistem komputerisasi tersebut, dikarenakan adanya kemungkinan keterbatasan finansial dan sumber daya manusia yang dimilikinya, Hal ini mendorong penulis untuk mencoba meng-aplikasikan teknologi informasi kedalam dunia bisnis, khususnya dunia Pariwisata dalam bidang Perhotelan. Karena masih ada diantaranya yang belum menggunakan sistem komputerisasi, dalam aktifitas bisnisnya. Oleh sebab itu penulis mencoba meng-implementasikan salah satu program aplikasi kedalam aktivitas bisnis penyewaan kamar hotel, di Hotel Prapanca yang berada di daerah Kebayoran Baru, yang dalam hal ini, proses penyewaan di hotel tersebut masih bersifat manual. Disini penulis membuat suatu program aplikasi, untuk proses administrasi penyewaan kamar hotel, dari mulai proses pemesanan kamar, harga sewa dan identitas penyewa, dengan menggunakan SMS GATEWAY.
