Abstract

ABSTRAK Sinar UV telah memainkan peran penting dalam menurunkan kekuatan material. Radiasi UV telah dikaitkan dengan degradasi material komposit dengan tingkat degradasi bergantung pada beberapa parameter utama, seperti: panjang gelombang UV, waktu pemaparan dan intensitas UV. Alat UV Weathering Chamber adalah alat yang dapat digunakan untuk mensimulasikan berbagai kondisi cuaca untuk pengujian material spesimen komposit. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu metode elemen hingga dengan menggunakan simulasi pada aplikasi ansys untuk mengetahui distribusi termal pada spesimen untuk alat uv weathering chamber. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu berupa nilai paparan termal atau distribusi temperatur yang diterima oleh spesimen dengan variasi temperatur 50°C, 60˚C, 70°C, dan 80°C. Simulasi pada variasi temperatur 50°C distribusi temperatur antara 28,071˚C s/d 30,01˚C. Variasi temperatur 60°C distribusi temperatur antara 28,009˚C s/d 30,93˚C. Variasi temperatur 70°C distribusi simulasi 28,142˚C s/d 31,9˚C dan variasi 80˚C mendapatkan distribusi temperatur antara 28,79˚C s/d 32,959˚C. UV radiation has been associated with the degradation of composite materials with the degree of degradation depending on several key parameters, such as: UV wavelength, exposure time and UV intensity. The UV Weathering Chamber tool is a tool that can be used to simulate various weather conditions for testing composite specimen materials. The method used in this study is the finite element method using simulation on the ansys application to determine the thermal distribution of the specimen for the uv weathering chamber tool. The results of this study are in the form of thermal exposure values or temperature distributions received by the specimens with temperature variations of 50°C, 60°C, 70°C, and 80°C. Simulation at a temperature variation of 50°C, the temperature distribution is between 28.071˚C to 30.01˚C. Temperature variation 60°C temperature distribution between 28.009˚C to 30.93˚C. Temperature variations 70°C simulation distribution 28,142˚C to 31,9˚C and variations 80˚C get a temperature distribution between 28,79˚C to 32,959˚C.
