Abstract

ABSTRAK Dalam pembuatan alat musik PT Yamaha Musik Manufakturing Asia disini menggunakan bahan utama adalah kayu dengan proses pembuatan dan model yang sesuai dengan ketentuannya sehingga menghasilkan sebuah alat musik yang berkualitas. PT Yamaha Musik Manufakturing Asia masih banyak menggunakan mesin industri secara manual. Setiap tahun permintaan produksi alat musik selalu meningkat, besarnya permintaan produksi tentunya harus diimbangi dengan kesiapan mesin/peralatan produksi yang baik. Permasalahannya adalah penggunaan mesin manual dalam proses produksi kurang maksimal, oleh karena itu dalam hal ini dibuatlah sistem mesin brushing otomatis dimana operator hanya meletakkan kayu diatas konveyor kemudian kayu tersebut berjalan lalu semua bagian kayu tersebut akan di bersihkan secara otomatis oleh brush yang di kontrol oleh PLC. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian mesin secara keseluruhan proses berjalan efektif dimana hasil produksi meningkat dan bintik-bintik pada kayu pun hilang. Hasil dari penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa sensor proximity sebagai pendeteksi kayu bekerja dengan baik dan dapat membaca objek (kayu) dengan jarak maksimal 8 mm, brushing mampu membersihkan kayu dengan lebar antara 200 mm sampai 700 mm dan tebal antara 14 mm sampai 23 mm secara efektif, lalu brushing akan mengalami error jika lebar melebihi ukuran 700 mm dan tebal melebihi 23 mm. Kata kunci : PLC, Kontrol, Brush, Kayu, Sensor Proximity. ABSTRACT In the manufacture of musical instruments PT Yamaha Musik Manufacturing Asia here uses the main material is wood with the manufacturing process and model in accordance with the provisions so as to produce a quality musical instrument. PT Yamaha Musik Manufacturing Asia still uses industrial machines manually. Every year the demand for musical instrument production always increases, the amount of production demand must of course be balanced with the readiness of good production machines/equipment. The problem is that the use of manual machines in the production process is not optimal, therefore in this case an automatic brushing machine system is made where the operator only puts the wood on the conveyor then the wood runs then all parts of the wood will be cleaned automatically by a brush which is controlled by PLC. Based on the results of machine testing, the overall process was effective where the production yield increased and the spots on the wood disappeared. The results of this study concluded that the proximity sensor as a wood detector works well and can read objects (wood) with a maximum distance of 8 mm, brushing is able to clean wood with a width between 200 mm to 700 mm and a thickness between 14 mm to 23 mm effectively, then brushing will experience an error if the width exceeds 700 mm and the thickness exceeds 23 mm.
