Abstract
Muara Karang Power Plant as one of the operation of its belonging to PT. Pembangkitan Jawa Bali who operates Combined Cycle Power Plant. Combine Cycle Power Plant is the synchronize of operates between Steam and Gas Turbine. Gas Turbine MS9001E divide into several support system. Closed Cooling Water System as one of support system represent a cooling water with closed loop circulation, where is the operation of a system this which have encountered certain constraints at the time of one power after weakness then after water cooled heat an exchanger (ACHE) was suffering from a a matter of common concern fan in a off condition.To overcome these issues has been carried out a modification of the on ACHE by adding water sprinkles to back up the time of 1 fan showed problems including damaged fan with the 1mm of diameter nozzle, efficiency of water sprinkle can be increased with change diameter nozzle. This study analyzed the influence of a change in diameter water sprinkle with the performance ACHE. Of the equation and tests carried out to get maximum diameter according capacity of pumps water sprinkle (30 m3 /h) is 1,447mm. An increase in the total energy heat transport obtained on ACHE with a combination 3 fan and water sprinkle of 1602292,41 J/s or 26,33 % using the diameter of the nozzle water sprinkle 1,447mm. While in terms of the operational time the use of sprinkle also rise to be become 57 minutes or 2,1 times faster using the diameter of the nozzle water sprinkle 1,447mm. Keywords : Closed Cooling Water System, Air Cooled Heat Exchanger, Water Sprinkle Unit Pembangkitan Muara Karang merupakan salah satu Unit Pembangkit milik PT.Pembangkitan Jawa Bali yang mengoperasikan Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Gas dan Uap (PLTGU). PLTGU merupakan perpaduan (combined cycle) dari Gas Turbine (PLTG) dan Steam Turbine (PLTU). Dalam pengoperasiannya Gas Turbine MS9001E terbagi dalam beberapa support system. Closed Cooling Water System sebagai salah satu support system tersebut merupakan sistem air pendingin dengan siklus tertutup, dimana pengoperasian sistem ini mengalami kendala pada saat satu fan pada Air Cooled Heat Exchanger (ACHE) mengalami gangguan yang mengharuskan fan dalam kondisi off. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut telah dilakukan modifikasi pada ACHE dengan menambahkan water sprinkle untuk menjadi back up saat 1 fan mengalami kerusakan, dimana air yang digunakan water sprinkle berasal dari Service Water Treatment Plant. Water Sprinkle saat ini cukup untuk menjadi back up 1 fan yang off dengan diameter nozzle 1mm, namun efisiensinya masih dapat ditingkatkan dengan merubah diameter nozzle. Penelitian ini menganalisa pengaruh perubahan diameter water sprinkle terhadap kinerja ACHE. Dari perhitungan dan pengujian yang dilakukan didapatkan diameter maksimum sesuai kapasitas pompa water sprinkle (30 m3 /h) adalah 1,447mm. Peningkatan total energi perpindahan panas yang didapatkan pada ACHE dengan kombinasi 3 fan dan water maksimum 1602292,41 J/s atau 26,33% dengan diameter nozzle 1,447mm. Sedangkan dari segi waktu operasional penggunaan sprinkle juga mengalami peningkatan yaitu menjadi menjadi 57 menit atau 2,1 kali lebih cepat menggunakan diameter nozzle water sprinkle 1,447mm.
