Abstract

Jakarta is the capital city of Indonesia, and it is no stranger to traffic jams due to the country's growing population and increased use of motorized vehicles. Another source of traffic congestion is the presence of level crossings between highways and railroads, such as the one on Jalan Lenteng Agung, which causes vehicle queues. The construction of a U-Turn Flyover to eliminate level crossings is the solution to this problem. The goal of this research was to determine the Jalan Lenteng Agung section due to the Flyover U-Turn facility, which resulted in a divergent road, which was analyzed using the 1997 Indonesian Road Capacity Manual (MKJI) and the relationship between variables was analyzed using the Greenshield, Greenberg, and Underwood models. The research was conducted on Jalan Lenteng Agung in South Jakarta for two days on Monday and Sunday, as well as on the Flyover U-Turn road. The research was conducted at 06.00 - 08.00 WIB, 12.00 - 14.00 WIB, and 16.00 - 18.00 WIB, with 15-minute intervals. In the field, data will be collected on traffic volume, vehicle speed, and turning vehicles. The analysis found that the effect on peak traffic flow on the road before entering the Flyover U-Turn and the narrow one due to the Flyover U-Turn was reduced by 10% on average, while the degree of saturation increased by 49.08 percent on average, and the speed when it was narrowed due to the presence of the Flyover U-Turn decreased by 20.37 percent. The Lenteng Agung road's side obstacle class is M, or moderate, and the road service level is F. From the relationship between variables, the Greenberg model is used for the West Lenteng Agung road before the Flyover U-Turn (r2 = 0.991) and the West Flyover UTurn narrowed the West (r2 = 0.994) and the East Lenteng Agung road before entering the U-Turn Flyover (r2 = 0.999) while the Underwood model is used for the East Lenteng Agung road after the U-Turn Flyover (r2 = 0.997). Keywords: Traffic Characteristics, Relationship Model, Flyover U-Turn.
