Abstract
Wi-Fi is even easier, even now it can be found in small coffee shops. So it's not something that is difficult to apply to coffee shops in the airport. In the coverage area, and the propagation aspects of previous research on optimizing Wi-Fi networks in the lecture room (Widyaningsih, 2013), therefore it is necessary to calculate and research accordingly, so as to be seen from the results of the research that resulted in effective design. With a maximum transmit power of 18 dBm an RSL (Received Signal Strength) value of -40.1 dBm can be received as a signal emitted in good condition because RSL ≥ Rth has a value of -92 dBm. And also a SOM value that can be equal to 51 dB. With a value that can be thought of, all that radiated can be acquired properly. Based on the reach of Access Points and client capacity, the number of Access Points needs is at least 2 Access Points to meet the needs of the client's network. The result of the application uses 2 Access Points with a transmit power of 18 dBm and also different channel lighting, resulting in an average RSSI value of -65 dBm to -48 dBm which can be interpreted by the signal emitted very well (Very good).
