Abstract

Mercubuana University participated in an activity organized by DIKTI (Higher Education) with the support of the government. The event was named KMHE (Energy Efficient Car Competition) and this year Mercubuana University launched a prototype electric car named "Geni Biru Electric". This car is equipped with a 5 - point seat belt to ensure the safety of the driver. Newton's law was also later used by humans to calculate centrifugal force. Centrifugal force is the force away from the center point experienced by a rotating object. When the car is moving constantly and then the brake pedal is stepped on, there will be a change of force where Newton's Law II applies which is then used in a theory called Acceleration of Regular Changing Straight Motion (GLBB). In the condition of no collision between passengers and vehicles moving at the same speed. After a frontal collision between the passenger and the vehicle there is a relative movement, which results in a collision between the passenger and the interior of the vehicle. the force on the turning process is 30.02N and the force on the collision process is 5640 N. Of the three force, when the car turns, brakes, and during a collision, seat belts have a fairly good level of safety, which is above 99%. So that the safety protection is safe enough to use on the KMHE 2020 electric car. Keywords : Seat Belts, Force, KMHE, Acceleration, Load, Safety Universitas Mercubuana berpartisipasi dalam sebuah kegiatan yang diselenggarakan oleh DIKTI (Pendidikan Tinggi) dengan didukung pemerintah. Kegiatan tersebut diberi nama KMHE (Kompetisi Mobil Hemat Energi) dan pada tahun ini Universitas Mercubuana meluncurkan sebuah prototype mobil listrik yang diberi nama “Geni Biru Electric”. Mobil ini dilengkapi sabuk pengaman 5 titik guna menjamin keamanan pengemudi. Hukum Newton juga kemudian dimanfaatkan manusia untuk menhitung gaya sentrifugal. Gaya sentrifugal adalah gaya menjauhi titik pusat yang dialami benda yang berputar. Pada saat mobil bergerak konstan kemudian pedal rem diinjak maka akan terjadi perubahan gaya dimana berlaku Hukum Newton II yang kemudian dimanfaatkan dalam teori yang disebut Percepatan Gerak Lurus Berubah Beraturan (GLBB). Pada kondisi tidak tabrakan antara penumpang dan kendaraan bergerak dengan kecepatan sama. Setelah tabrakan arah frontal antara penumpang dan kendaraan terjadi gerakan relative, yang mengakibatkan benturan antara penumpang dan interior kendaraan. gaya pada proses berbelok sebesar 30,02N dan gaya pada proses tabrakan sebesar 5640 N. Dari ketiga gaya baik ketika mobil berbelok, mengerem, maupun pada saat terjadi tabrakan, sabuk pengaman memiliki tingkat keamanan yang cukup baik yakni diatas 99%. Sehingga sabuk pengaman sudah cukup aman digunakan pada mobil listrik KMHE 2020. Kata Kunci : Sabuk Pengaman, Gaya , KMHE, Percepatan, Beban, Keamanan
