Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effect of variable compensation and working environment of the intention to quit. Population in this study was 400 employee of Hotel Crowne Plaza Jakarta. This study is a survey research using a sample to be used as research respondents. This study used Slovin’s formula with an error rate of 5% obtained a minimum sample of 200. The sampling technique using proportionate stratified random sampling. The primary data colletion using questionnaire. In testing hypotheses formulated using multiple linear regression statistical techniques. The result of the first hypothesis indicates thet partial compensation has a significant negative effect on the employee’s intention to quit from their job. Although, the second partial hypothesis shows that working environment does not have any affect on the intention. However, when those hypothesis are combined, all together it shows a significant negative effect on the intention to quit. From the multiple linier regression model explaining the compensation and working environment together results that its explain 41.5% of the variation in intention to quit. The rest of variation of 58.5% was influenced by variables outside the model of research. Two variables in the model is not sufficiently dominant to determine the variable intention to quit employees of Hotel Crowne Plaza Jakarta. Keywords : Compensation, Working Environment and Intention to Quit Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh variabel kompensasi dan lingkungan kerja terhadap intention to quit. Populasi penelitian ini adalah semua karyawan Crowne Plaza Jakarta yang berjumlah 400 orang karyawan. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian survey yang menggunakan sampel untuk dijadikan responden penelitian. Dengan menggunakan rumus Slovin, pada tingkat kesalahan 5% diperoleh ukuran sampel minimal 200. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan proportionate stratified random sampling. Koleksi data primer menggunakan instrumen kuesioner. Dalam pengujian hipotesis yang diformulasikan menggunakan teknik statistik regresi linier berganda. Hasil hipotesis pertama pembuktian menunjukan bahwa secara parsial kompensasi berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap intention to quit karyawan. Hasil hipotesis kedua pembuktian menunjukan bahwa secara parsial lingkungan kerja tidak berpengaruh terhadap intention to quit. Hipotesis ke tiga secara bersama- sama variabel kompensasi dan lingkungan kerja berpengaruh signifikan negatif dan signifikan terhadap intention to quit. Dari kedua model regresi menjelaskan kompensasi dan lingkungan kerja secara bersama – sama mampu menjelaskan 41,5% terhadap variasi intention to quit. Sisa variasi sebesar 58,5 % dipengaruhi oleh variabel diluar model penelitian. Dua variabel dalam model tidak cukup dominan untuk menentukan variabel intention to quit karyawan Hotel Crowne Plaza Jakarta. Kata Kunci : Kompensasi, Lingkungan Kerja dan Intention to Quit.
