Abstract

Waste problems are certainly faced by various countries around the world, one of them is Indonesia. Indonesia has a population of 187.2 million which annually produces 3.22 million tons of plastic waste that is not managed properly. Based on data from the DKI Jakarta Environmental Agency, the volume of waste in DKI Jakarta always increases. In 2020, the volume of waste reaches 7,424 tons of waste/day. This proves that the society in DKI Jakarta do not yet have the awareness to manage waste properly, which results in the Bantar Gebang Bekasi Integrated Waste Disposal Site (TPST) always receiving large volumes of waste from DKI Jakarta. Waste management in Indonesia is still focused on being the task of waste collectors in landfills managed by the government or managed by individuals. As for the that garbage collectors who are currently still carrying out waste collection operations by going around people's houses randomly without knowing whether in the places they pass there are indeed the required garbage, where this will take a lot of time and effort and not infrequently going home without bringing the expected results. Now the development of information technology is growing so fast that even in Indonesia, many people use technology to find information to communicate with other parties. The research with the title "Development of Inorganic Waste Collection Applications in the City of West Jakarta" aims to facilitate collectors in collecting garbage or junk items quickly and accurately, assisting the community in the process of finding and finding collectors in the vicinity. In designing this application, it is proposed to build a web-based application with a software development method using Rapid Application Development (RAD). There are also tools used, including PHP, CodeIgniter, MySQL, Bootstrap and UML diagrams. The results of this system design are expected to make it easier for collectors to collect garbage or junk items by minimizing the energy and time used so that they can collect these items more effectively and efficiently. Permasalahan sampah tentunya dihadapi oleh berbagai negara di seluruh dunia baik negaranegara maju maupun negara-negara berkembang, salah satunya yaitu Indonesia. Indonesia memiliki populasi sebesar 187,2 juta yang setiap tahunnya menghasilkan 3,22 juta ton sampah plastik yang tak terkelola dengan baik. Berdasarkan data Dinas Lingkungan Hidup DKI Jakarta, untuk volume sampah di DKI Jakarta selalu mengalami peningkatan. Pada tahun 2020, volume sampah mencapai 7.424 ton sampah/hari. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa masyarakat di DKI Jakarta belum memiliki kesadaran untuk mengelola sampah dengan baik yang mengakibatkan Tempat Pembuangan Sampah Terpadu (TPST) Bantar Gebang Bekasi selalu menerima sampah dari DKI Jakarta dengan volume yang besar. Pengelolaan sampah di Indonesia masih berfokus menjadi tugas pengepul sampah di TPA yang dikelola Pemerintah maupun yang dikelola perorangan. Adapun pengepul sampah yang saat ini masih melakukan operasi pengumpulan sampah dengan berkeliling ke rumah-rumah penduduk secara acak tanpa mengetahui apakah di tempat yang dilewatinya memang terdapat sampah-sampah yang dibutuhkan, dimana hal tersebut akan memakan waktu dan tenaga yang tidak sedikit dan tidak jarang pula pulang tanpa membawa hasil yang diharapkan. Kini perkembangan teknologi informasi berkembang begitu cepat bahkan di Indonesia banyak masyarakat yang memanfaatkan teknologi dalam mencari suatu informasi untuk melakukan komunikasi dengan pihak lain. Penelitian dengan judul "Pembangunan Aplikasi Penjemputan Sampah Anorganik Pada Wilayah Kota Jakarta Barat" bertujuan untuk mempermudah pengepul dalam mengumpulkan sampah atau barang-barang rongsok secara cepat dan tepat, membantu masyarakat dalam proses mencari serta mendapatkan pengepul di sekitarnya. Dalam perancangan aplikasi ini, diusulkan untuk membangun suatu aplikasi berbasis web dengan metode pengembangan perangkat lunak menggunakan Rapid Application Development (RAD). Ada pula tools yang digunakan antara lain PHP, CodeIgniter, MySQL, Bootstrap dan diagram – diagram UML. Hasil dari perancangan sistem ini diharapkan dapat mempermudah pengepul dalam mengumpulkan sampah atau barang-barang rongsok dengan meminimalisir tenaga dan waktu yang digunakan sehingga bisa mengumpulkan barang-barang tersebut secara lebih efektif dan efisien.
