Abstract

As time goes by, the banking world continues to grow, especially in terms of hardware and server performance. On the AS400 development server, performance is needed to perform various core banking user activities. Problems faced at PT. Bank Pan Indonesia Tbk is the existence of one of the server management tools, namely the existing hardware management console which is obsolete (obsolete) often hangs and causes the process of the management server to be disrupted. The purpose of this research is to create a virtualization system that provides GUI features, resource allocation performance, remote web access so that it can be implemented without requiring additional costs and helps users to avoid the hassle of logging into the data center so that it is more efficient with the remote method. via web browser and available client access. System Design and Implementation Method Using Cisco Lifestyle Service PPDIOO Method. The testing process uses the black box testing method and the User Acceptance Test (UAT) in order to ensure that all features are functioning normally and the system has been built as needed. The required virtualization method uses the installation via a virtual box. The results of the implementation of the virtual hardware management console (vHMC) are able to bridge between the server and the user so that banking operational services at PT. Bank Pan Indonesia Tbk can work well. This result can also be an alternative backup plan in case of problems with the device server. Key words: Virtualization , Hardware Management Console, PPDIOO, Black Box, UAT Seiring berjalannya waktu dunia perbankan terus berkembang terutama peningkatan sisi hardware dan performa dari sebuah server. Pada server AS400 development diperlukan kinerja untuk melakukan berbagai macam aktivitas corebanking user. Masalah yang dihadapi pada PT. Bank Pan Indonesia Tbk adalah adanya salah satu perangkat management server yaitu Hardware Management Console existing yang sudah obsolete (usang) seringkali hang dan menyebabkan proses dari management server terganggu. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk membuat sebuah sistem virtualisasi yang menyediakan fitur GUI, allocation resource performance, remote web access sehingga dapat diimplementasikan tanpa memerlukan biaya tambahan dan membantu user agar tidak perlu repot untuk masuk ke datacenter sehingga lebih efisien dengan metode remote melalui web browser dan client access yang tersedia. Metode perancangan dan implementasi sistem menggunakan metode Cisco Lifestyle Service PPDIOO. Proses pengujian menggunakan metode black box testing dan User Acceptance Test (UAT) agar dapat memastikan semua fitur berfungsi normal dan sistem sudah dibangun sesuai kebutuhan. Metode virtualisasi yang dibutuhkan menggunakan instalasi melalui virtual box. Hasil implementasi virtual hardware management console (vHMC) mampu menjembatani antara server dengan user sehingga layanan operasional perbankan pada PT. Bank Pan Indonesia Tbk dapat berfungsi dengan baik. Hasil ini juga dapat menjadi alternatif backup plan apabila terjadi problem pada perangkat server.
