Abstract

The development of information technology demands the use of more and more devices, ranging from servers, switches, routers, firewalls and other network devices. The problem that arises is the large number of devices on a large network that the Network Administrator connects to identify the source and cause. More network devices will require more maintenance costs, especially if an Administrator needs to search Message logs for all network devices. Each problem becomes an event on network devices, all of which are in the system log (syslog). Syslog is a logging standard that is used by applications to send information to the focus server. Through this research, analysis and design of a syslog-based monitoring system will be carried out. The method that will be used in this research is Design Science and Research (DSR), researchers will use Elastic Stack (ELK) and telegram notifications. Elastic Stack or a combination of the open source applications Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana are useful tools for collecting logs, storing logs and also visualizing these logs. Telegram notifications function to provide information to Administrators, so they can find out device information in real time . Keywords: Syslog, Elastic Stack, Telegram Perkembangan teknologi informasi menuntut penggunaan perangkat yang semakin banyak, mulai dari Server, Switch, Router, Firewall dan perangkat jaringan lainnya. Masalah yang muncul adalah banyaknya perangkat pada jaringan yang besar menyulitkan Administrator jaringan untuk mengidentifikasi sumber dan penyebabnya. Lebih banyak perangkat jaringan akan membutuhkan lebih banyak biaya perawatan, terutama jika seorang Administrator perlu mencari Log pesan untuk semua perangkat jaringan. Setiap masalah menjadi event pada perangkat jaringan, yang semuanya ada di dalam log sistem (syslog). Syslog adalah standar logging yang digunakan aplikasi untuk mengirim informasi ke server fokus, Melalui penelitian ini, akan dilakukan analisa serta perancangan sistem monitoring secara terpusat berbasis syslog. Metode yang akan digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Design Science and Research (DSR), peneliti akan menggunakan Elastic Stack (ELK) dan notifikasi telegram. Elastic Stack atau gabungan dari aplikasi opensource Elasticsearch, Logstash dan Kibana adalah tool yang berguna untuk mengumpulkan log, meyimpan log dan juga menvisualisasi log tersebut. Notifikasi telegram berfungsi untuk memberikan informasi kepada Administrator, sehingga dapat mengetahui informasi perangkat secara realtime. Kata kunci: Syslogh, Elastic Stack, Telegram
