Abstract

Generator Set or Genset is a device that functions to generate electrical power. Called a generator set is a set of combined equipment of two different devices, namely the engine and generator or alternator. the amount of electric current that occurs will cause an increase in heating that occurs in the engine and if not maintained it will probably cause overheating due to a closed engine and poor air circulation. Thus the cooling system on the generator is needed to support the safety of the temperature on the generator so that it remains normal below 70°C which is important to minimize the occurrence of overheating problems in the generator, so that it can improve the performance of the generator to work for a long time without any overheating problems. . The design of this Motor Generator Set Temperature Measuring Tool uses Arduino nano as a system controller and uses an MPU 6050 sensor as a temperature sensor. 16x2 LCD, LED, Buzzer and LabVIEW software as data viewer, Based on the results of the analysis and testing that has been done in this study. the design of this motor temperature measuring instrument after a comparison with the Thermo Meter has an error percentage of 1.59%, then the reading between the display on the measuring instrument LCD and the display on the LabVIEW software there is no significant difference then can detect the temperature sensor is more than 70 degrees Celsius then the green LED will off, then the red LED will turn on, but the buzzer is still off if the temperature is above 80 degrees Celsius the green LED will turn off, then the red LED and buzzer will turn on, besides the LabVIEW software can store data in txt format.. Keywords: MPU 6050 sensor, Generator, Overheating, Arduino Nano, LabView Generator Set atau Genset adalah sebuah perangkat yang berfungsi menghasilkan daya listrik. Disebut generator set adalah satu set peralatan gabungan dari dua perangkat berbeda yaitu engine dan generator atau alternator. besarnya arus listrik yang terjadi akan menyebabkan peningkatan pemanasan yang terjadi pada mesin penggeraknya dan jika tidak dijaga akan mungkin menyebabkan pemanasan yang berlebih (overheating) yang dikarenakan mesin yang tertutup dan sirkulasi udara yang kurang lancar Dengan demikian sistem pendingin pada genset sangat dibutuhkan untuk menunjang keamanan suhu pada genset agar tetap normal di bawah 70°C merupakan hal yang penting untuk meminimalisir terjadinya masalah overheating pada genset, sehingga bisa meningkatkan kinerja genset bekerja dalam jangka waktu yang lama tanpa ada kendala masalah overheating. Perancangan Alat Ukur Suhu Motor Generator set ini menggunakan arduino nano sebagai pengendali sistem dan menggunakan sensor MPU 6050 sebagai sensor suhu. LCD 16x2, LED, Buzzer dan software LabVIEW sebagai penampil data, Berdasarkan hasil analisa dan pengujian yang telah dilakukan pada penelitian ini. rancangan alat ukur suhu motor ini setelah dilakukan perbandingan dengan Thermo Meter memiliki persentase error sebesar 1.59%, kemudian pembacaan antara tampilan pada LCD alat ukur dan Tampilan pada software LabVIEW tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan kemudian dapat mendeteksi sensor suhu lebih dari 70 derajat celcius maka LED hijau akan mati, lalu LED merah akan hidup, tetapi buzzer masih dalam keadaan mati jika suhu sudah diatasa 80 derajat celcius LED hijau akan mati, lalu LED merah dan buzzer akan nyala, selain itu software LabVIEW dapat melakukan penyimpanan data dalam format txt.
