Abstract

Wind energy is one of the best renewable energy sources for power generation due to the fact that wind is a clean and unlimited source of renewable energy. Due to the increase in fossil fuel prices and the increasing need for renewable energy sources, it is very necessary to look for alternative technologies in electricity generation. The aim of the study was to verify and investigate the performance of TASH due to the influence of the spiral angle and the number of blades applied. The method used in this research is the Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine (TASH) experimental method with three blades. The trial was carried out on the edge of the Muara Baru coastal embankment, Penjaringan, North Jakarta. TASH carried out a series of tests and data collection at a certain wind speed which was measured along with the value of the generator output voltage and current generated by the TASH rotation. The test was carried out in the new estuary area. The wind speeds obtained were 3.4 m/s, 3.6 m/s, 3.7 m/s, 3.9 m/s, 4 m/s, 4.2 m /s, 4.3 m/s, 4.4 m/s, 4.5 m/s, 4.7 m/s and 4.9 m/s. After conducting experiments at Muara Baru port, the most optimal Coefficient Power was found at a wind speed of 3.4 m/s 0.058 and the highest turbine power at a wind speed of 4.9 m/s of 5 watts which resulted in an increase in CP efficiency of 4% from the study. previously. Keywords: Spiral Blade TASH, Power Coefficient, Torque Coefficient, Tip Speed Ratio Energi angin adalah salah satu sumber energi terbarukan terbaik untuk pembangkit listrik karena fakta bahwa angin adalah sumber energi terbarukan yang bersih dan tak terbatas. Dikarenakan dengan kenaikan harga bahan bakar fosil dan meningkatnya kebutuhan akan sumber Energi Terbarukan, maka sangat diperlukan untuk mencari alternatif teknologi dalam pembangkitan listrik. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk memverifikasi dan meng-investigasi performa TASH karena pengaruh sudut spiral dan jumlah bilah yang diaplikasikannya. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu metode eksperimen Turbin Angin Sumbu Horizontal (TASH) dengan jumlah tiga bilah blade. Uji coba dilakukan di tepi tanggul pantai Muara Baru, Penjaringan, jakarta Utara. TASH dilakukan serangkaian pengujian dan pengambilan data pada kecepatan angin tertentu yang diukur bersamaan dengan nilai tegangan dan arus keluaran generator yang dihasilkan putaran TASH. Pengujian di lakukan di wilayah muara baru Adapun kecepatan angin yang di dapatkan 3,4 m/s, 3,6 m/s , 3,7 m/s, 3,9 m/s, 4 m/s, 4,2 m/s, 4,3 m/s, 4,4 m/s, 4,5 m/s, 4,7 m/s dan 4,9 m/s. Setelah melakukan eksperimen di pelabuhan Muara Baru didapatkan Coefficient Power yang paling optimal adalah pada kecepatan angin 3,4 m/s 0,058 dan daya turbin tertinggi pada kecepatan angin 4,9 m/s sebesar 5 watt yang menghasilkan pertambahan efisiensi CP sebesar 4% dari penelitian sebelumnya.
