Abstract

Quarter life crisis is one of human crisis in life that affects z generation especially on psychological problems such as loneliness. Loneliness is a feeling of sadness, depression, lack of enthusiasm, and worthlessness that caused people hard to be in social relationships with the others. Self efficacy is an ability of individuals to believe themselves in overcome certain situations and problems to be able to gain result. Therefore, self efficacy is needed to overcome loneliness and quarter life crisis. People with good self-efficacy will cleverly design the actions needed to support themselves out of problems to reach solutions and achieve goals. Aim of this study is to determine whether there is a relationship between loneliness and self efficacy with quarter life crisis. The research design of this study is correlational quantitative, with correlation analysis method and non-probability sampling technique. The subjects consist of z generation domiciled in Jabodetabek. The result showed that loneliness has negative effect on quarter life crisis, while self efficacy has positive effect. Researcher hope this research could be a reference for future research regarding the quarter life crisis phenomenon. Keywords: Loneliness, Self Efficacy, Quarter Life Crisis, Z Generation. Quarter life crisis merupakan salah satu fase krisis dalam kehidupan manusia yang memengaruhi generasi z khususnya pada permasalahan psikologis seperti kesepian. Kesepian atau Loneliness merupakan perasaan sedih, murung, tidak bersemangat, dan tidak berharga hingga menyebabkan individu sulit untuk membangun hubungan sosial dengan orang lain. Kemampuan self efficacy adalah kemampuan individu dalam meyakini kemampuan atas dirinya dalam mengatasi situasi dan problematika tertentu hingga mampu menghasilkan sebuah hasil. Maka dari itu, self efficacy dibutuhkan oleh generasi z dalam mengatasi loneliness dan quarter life crisis yang dirasakan. Generasi z dengan self efficacy yang baik dengan cermat akan mendesain tindakan-tindakan yang diperlukan guna mendukung dirinya keluar dari permasalahan hingga meraih jalan keluar dan tujuan yang dimiliki. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan antara loneliness dan self efficacy dengan quarter life crisis. Desain penelitian pada penelitian ini adalah menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif korelasional dengan metode analisis korelasi dengan teknik non-probability sampling. Subjek penelitian ini terdiri atas generasi z di Jabodetabek. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa loneliness berpengaruh negatif dengan quarter life crisis, sedangkan self efficacy berpengaruh positif dengan quarter life crisis. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan untuk berbagai pihak guna dijadikan sebagai referensi tambahan tentang fenomena quarter life crisis.
