Abstract

This paper discusses the comparison of the calculation of the FTTB network against the results of attenuation measurements carried out using the OTDR in the Telkom BSD GRHA Building, this is used as one of the preventive and corrective actions. This study resulted in the average for the calculation of the FTTB network link budget is - dB, while for the average OTDR measurement that has been measured is -19.305 dB. There is a difference between the calculation and measurement of -21.042dB, it can be caused by several things that happened during the implementation and measurement of the network. However, from these calculations and measurements, the FTTB network in the Telkom BSD GRHA Building still meets the attenuation specifications from ITU.T G.984 and attenuation specifications up to the customer at PT. Indonesian Telecommunications. Keywords: Fiber Optic; FTTB; Telkom, Optical Attenuation. Paper ini membahas tentang perbandingan perhitungan jaringan FTTB terhadap hasil ukur redaman yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan OTDR di Gedung GRHA Telkom BSD, hal ini digunakan sebagai salah satu tindakan preventif dan korektif. Penelitian ini menghasilkan rata-rata untuk perhitungan link budget jaringan FTTB tersebut adalah - dB, sementara untuk rata-rata pengukuran OTDR yang telah diukur adalah -19.305 dB. Terjadi selisih antara perhitungan dan pengukuran sebesar -21.042dB, hal tersebut bisa disebabkan karena beberapa hal yang terjadi selama implementasi dan pengukuran jaringan. Namun dari perhitungan dan pengukuran tersebut, jaringan FTTB di Gedung GRHA Telkom BSD masih memenuhi spesifikasi redaman dari ITU.T G.984 dan spesifikasi redaman sampai dengan Customer di PT.
