Abstract

The development of technology, especially in the field of computer networks, which today has spread almost to the next area. However, computer networks also often experience many problems, one of which often occurs is the use of irregular bandwidth. Therefore, to minimize the problem, there needs to be bandwidth management so that later it can manage evenly the use of bandwidth in a computer network. Bandwidth management is a way of setting bandwidth so that there is equalization of bandwidth usage in a computer network so that every network user gets bandwidth evenly even though the network uses a lot. This research was conducted by creating a user profile and hostpot user account on Mikrotik OS using a bandwidth management system with a comparison of Simple Queue and Queue Tree with the Hierarchical Token Bucket (HTB) method. The Queue Tree method makes it possible to create structured queues and stratified grouping. Keywords: Computer Network, Bandwidth Management, Hierarchical Token Bucket (HTB), Simple Queue, Queue Tree Semakin berkembangnya teknologi khususnya dibidang jaringan komputer, yang saat ini telah menyebar hampir kepenjuru daerah. Akan tetapi jaringan komputer juga sering mengalami banyak permasalahan, salah satunya yang sering terjadi yaitu penggunaan bandwith yang tidak teratur. Maka dari itu, untuk meminimalisir pada masalah tersebut perlu adanya manajemen bandwidth agar nantinya dapat mengatur secara merata pemakaian bandwidth dalam sebuah jaringan komputer. Manajemen bandwith merupakan proses pengaturan pemakaian bandwith dalam sebuah jaringan komputer sehingga setiap pengguna jaringan memperoleh bandwith secara merata walaupun jaringan tersebut banyak yang menggunakan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan membuat profile pengguna dan akun pengguna hotspot pada OS mikrotik menggunakan sistem manajemen bandwidth dengan perbandingan Simple Queue dan Queue tree dengan metode Hierarchical Token Bucket (HTB). Metode Queue Tree memungkinkan untuk membuat antrian terstruktur dan pengelompokan bertingkat.
