Abstract

A community is a collection of people who came together to form an organization because they have the same interests or talents. Because of this common interest in a particular field each member of the community can provide mutual support and develop their hobbies and talents together but due to Covid-19 health protocol we can only go outside when it’s urgent, making finding communities to join to become difficult. Thus the author have an idea to help tackle that problem. This information system was developed with the aim to provide information about communities for the people in the city of Kendari. This Web- based information system will also deliver benefits in the form of efficiency, because it can help find a community within the area through a website without any need to wander outside. This Website development is done using Laravel 8 framework with phpMyAdmin as the tool to handle the administration of MySQL over the Web. And The use of waterfall model was suitable for making this website as this is a small project and the steps that is defined in the model are clear and sequential.
