Abstract

PT XYZ is a manufacturing industry that produces various kinds of automotive parts. one of the automotive parts produced is a radiator hose. Due to the rampant sales of vehicles that require these parts, PT XYZ must increase productivity in order to meet the demands of all consumers. In the process of making a radiator hose through several stages. One of the stages is the covering process, namely the process of coating between rubber, thread and re-coated rubber in the form of a raw hose (green hose). However, in this process there are 4 parts consisting of braiding spiral, cutterpillar 1, cooling drum and cutterpillar 2 which are operated separately and require 2 operators. This is not very effective in supporting the increase in company productivity, which should only be operated by one operator with centralized control. So, from these problems it is necessary to control a centralized controller using HMI as the control center. Based on the test results, the control system of the HMI has good performance for setting speed of 99.798% on the braiding spiral section, 99.703% on the cutterpillar 1 section, 99.519% on the cooling drum section and 99,537% on the cutterpillar 2 section. And the response time of the HMI push button towards a good machine with results. in the braiding spiral section it is 0.215 seconds, on the cutterpillar 1 section it is 0.206 seconds, on the cooling drum section it is 0.217 seconds and on the cutterpillar 2 section it is 0.237 seconds. Keywords: PLC, HMI, setting speed, push button. PT XYZ merupakan industri manufaktur yang memproduksi berbagai macam part otomotif. salah satu part otomotif yang diproduksi adalah selang radiator. Karena maraknya penjualan kendaraan yang membutuhkan part tersebut, maka PT XYZ harus meningkatkan produktivitas agar dapat memenuhi permintaan semua konsumen. Dalam proses pembuatan selang radiator melalui beberapa tahapan. Salah satu tahapannya adalah proses covering, yakni proses pelapisan antara karet, benang dan dilapis karet kembali yang berbentuk selang mentah (green hose). Namun, pada proses tersebut terdapat 4 bagian yang terdiri dari braiding spiral, cutterpillar 1, cooling drum dan cutterpillar 2 yang dioperasikan secara terpisah dan membutuhkan 2 operator. Hal ini sangat kurang efektif untuk mendukung peningkatan produktivitas perusahaan, yang seharusnya mesin tersebut dapat dioperasikan 1 operator saja dengan pengontrolan terpusat. Maka, dari permasalahan tersebut diperlukan pengontrolan sebuah pengontrolan terpusat dengan menggunakan HMI sebagai pusat pengontrolannya. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian, sistem pengontrolan dari HMI memiliki performa yang baik untuk setting speed sebesar 99,798% pada bagian braiding spiral, 99,703% pada bagian cutterpillar 1, 99,519% pada bagian cooling drum dan 99,537% pada bagian cutterpillar 2. Serta respon waktu push button HMI menuju mesin yang baik dengan hasil. pada bagian braiding spiral sebesar 0,215 detik, pada bagian cutterpillar 1 sebesar 0,206 detik, pada bagian cooling drum sebesar 0,217 detik serta pada bagian cutterpillar 2 sebesar 0,237 detik.
