Abstract

Determining the optimal quantity of material is very important in the aircraft maintenance process. The quantity of material inventory that is too large will result in large storage costs and is a waste. The results of preliminary research on material inventory on the C-check A320 maintenance project at PT. GMF Aeroasia obtained data that the company purchased raw materials in large frequency which resulted in high inventory costs. This must also be suppressed due to pandemic conditions that require companies to save on material inventory costs without reducing the maintenance performance of the C-check A320 aircraft. This study aims to obtain the optimal number of orders and order frequency so that the total inventory cost (TIC) can be reduced by using Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) and Just In Time (JIT) methods. Data collection is carried out by retrieving data directly from the relevant work unit that oversees the course of the material request. This study succeeded in reducing the total inventory cost (TIC) which was carried out by company policy through calculations using the EOQ and JIT methods. In the Smoke Detector PPC110-001 material, the company's policy TIC is Rp. 29,706.002 decreased to Rp. 20,314,857 with the EOQ method and Rp. 14,364,773 with the JIT method. On the ABS1040-64 Seal material, the company's policy TIC is Rp. 22,530,394 decreased to Rp. 11,411,434 with the EOQ method and Rp. 8,069,102 with the JIT method. And for the Cotter Pin MS24665-155 material, the company's policy TIC is Rp. 15,799,982 decreased to Rp. 10,770,320 with EOQ method and Rp. 4,816,634 with the JIT method. Keyword : Economic Order Quantity, Just In Time, dan Total Inventory Cost Penentuan kuantitas material yang optimal merupakan hal yang sangat penting dalam proses perawatan pesawat. Kuantitas persediaan material yang terlalu besar akan berakbat pada besarnya biaya penyimpanan dan merupakan pemborosan. Hasil penelitian awal persediaan material pada project perawatan C-check A320 di PT. GMF Aeroasia diperoleh data bahwa perusahaan membeli bahan baku dalam frekuensi yang besar yang mengakibatkan biaya persediaan yang tinggi. Hal ini pun harus ditekan dikarenakan kondisi pandemic yang mengharuskan perusahaan untuk menghemat biaya persediaan material tanpa mengurangi performa perawatan pesawat C-check A320. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh jumlah pemesanan dan frekuensi pemesanan yang optimal sehingga total inventory cost (TIC) dapat berkurang dengan metode Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) dan Just In Time (JIT). Pengumpulan data dilakuakan dengan cara mengambil data secara langsung pada unit kerja terkait yang mengawasi jalannya material request. Penelitian ini berhasil menurunkan total inventory cost (TIC) yang dilakukan kebijakan perusahaan melalui perhitungan dengan metode EOQ dan JIT.
