Abstract

The use of matchmaking applications is currently being used by the people of Indonesia. Tinder is a solution for young people to find a mate or just a friend to chat during a pandemic, by using individual Tinder it doesn't take long to get to know and build relationships with new people. However, often in the use of this application, there are a lot of sexual harassments that occur both verbally and non-verbally. That is why this research was initiated to see what the informants' experiences of sexual harassment were like when using Tinder as a matchmaking application. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach, namely Husserl's phenomenology. Husserl's phenomenology analyzes the individual's conscious experience is the right way to find reality. Only through “conscious attention” can truth be known. And the theory used in this research is Social Penetration theory. The subjects of this study were Generation Z who were selected according to the qualifications of the data in the study, the data were taken from Generation Z in West Jakarta and active users of Tinder. The paradigm used in this research is constructivism paradigm. This paradigm has a focus on how humans interpret their social life and realize it through language and always try to understand the world in which they live and work by developing subjective meanings for their experiences that are directed at certain objects or objects. The results showed that the motives of informants using the Tinder application to find friends to chat and partners, and eliminate boredom. An individual's self-disclosure through online dating applications, especially Tinder, is influenced by self-presentation that is able to attract the attention of other online dating application users. From self-disclosure that has positive reciprocity, it will make the relationship more intimate, a lot of sexual harassment that occurs both verbally and non-verbally such as commenting on the physical, sending nude photos or videos, invitations to go to hotels, invitations to kiss, and orders to do open BO, and asked about her tank top and bra which caused discomfort in finding a mate on Tinder social media. Keywords : Online dating app Tinder, phenomenology, Sexual Harassment Penggunaan aplikasi pencarian jodoh saat ini sedang ramai digunakan oleh masyarakat Indonesia. Tinder menjadi solusi bagi kaum muda untuk mencari jodoh atau sekedar teman ngobrol dimasa pandemi, dengan menggunakan tinder individu tidak membutuhkan waktu lama untuk mengenal dan menjalin hubungan dengan orang baru. Namun seringkali dalam penggunaan aplikasi ini itu banyak sekali pelecehan-pelecehan seksual yang terjadi baik verbal maupun nonverbal. Itulah kenapa peneltitian ini di gagas untuk melihat seperti apa pengalaman informan terhadap tidakan pelecehan seksual yang dialami saat menggunakan tinder sebagai aplikasi pencari jodoh. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi, yaitu fenomenologi Husserl. Fenomenologi Husserl menganalisis pengalaman sadar individu adalah jalan yang tepat untuk menemukan realitas. Hanya melalui “perhatian sadar” kebenaran dapat diketahui. Dan Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori Penetrasi Sosial. Subjeck penelitian ini adalah Generasi Z, pengambilan data diambil dari generasi Z di Jakarta Barat dan pengguna aktif tinder. Paradigma yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah paradigma konstruktivisme. Paradigma ini memiliki fokus tentang bagaimana manusia memaknai kehidupan sosialnya dan merealisasikannya melalui bahasa dan selalu berusaha memahami dunia di mana mereka hidup dan bekerja dengan mengembangkan makna-makna subjektif atas pengalaman mereka yang diarahkan pada objek atau benda tertentu. Hasil penelitian menunjukan motif informan mengunakan aplikasi Tinder untuk mencari teman ngobrol dan pasangan, dan menghilangkan rasa bosan. Pengungkapan diri seorang individu melalui aplikasi online dating khususnya Tinder dipengaruhi oleh presentasi diri yang mampu menarik perhatian pengguna aplikasi online dating lain. Dari Pengungkapan diri yang memiliki timbal balik positif akan membuat hubungan semakin intim banyak pelecehan seksual yang terjadi baik verbal maupun non verbal seperti mengomentari fisik, mengirim foto atau video nude, ajakan untuk ke hotel, ajakan untuk berciuman, dan suruhan untuk melakukan open BO, dan menanyakan mengenai tanktop dan BH nya yang dimana menimbulkan rasa ketidaknyamanan dalam mencari jodoh di media sosial Tinder.
