Abstract

The use of electrical energy is very important for daily human needs. Fossil energy sources used today are very limited, so alternative energy is needed that is more environmentally friendly, clean, non-polluting and has unlimited supply, one of which is solar energy which relies on sunlight. The use of electronic equipment at this time continues to increase, this affects the consumption of electric power that is getting bigger. This study aims to analyze the efficiency of electricity consumption from solar panels using experimental methods. The steps taken are, knowing the total daily load, calculating the components of the Solar Power Plant (PLTS) as needed, testing to get the value of its efficiency and economy. The parameters used in data collection for PV mini-grid production are output voltage and output current. The data taken include the selection of PV mini-grid components, production data of solar panels, SCC, batteries, inverters and load data consumption. The total daily load on the UMKM stall is 1710 Wh. So it takes 6 solar panels with a capacity of 100 WP Poly-Crystalline, Solar Charge Controller (SCC) type Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) with a capacity of 60 A, a battery with a VRLA type of 12 V 200 Ah, and a pure sine wave (PWM) 1000 W inverter. The results showed that the 7-day test got the efficiency of each component, namely solar panels of 7.92%, solar charge controllers of 70,00%, batteries of 72.35%, and inverters of 95.92%. The total production of PLTS electrical energy for 7 days obtained an average of 1,362 kWh. While the average daily load consumption for 7 days is 1,392 kWh. For economic benefits, the investment cost of a 20-year PLTS lifetime system is Rp. 27,645,000, the LCOE tariff for electricity is Rp. 2781.14/kWh, a pay back period (PBP) of 20 years and a positive NPV value. Keyword: Solar panels, Efficiency, PLTS, UMKM, Economy Penggunaan energi listrik sangat penting untuk kebutuhan manusia sehari-hari. Sumber energi fosil yang digunakan saat ini sangat terbatas maka dibutuhkan energi alternatif yang lebih ramah lingkungan, bersih, tidak berpolusi dan persediaan tidak terbatas, salah satunya yaitu energi surya yang mengandalkan sinar matahari. Pemakaian peralatan elektronik pada saat ini terus meningkat, hal ini berpengaruh terhadap konsumsi daya listrik yang semakin besar. Penelitian ini bertujuan melakukan analisis efisiensi konsumsi energi listrik yang bersumber dari panel surya menggunakan metode eksperimen. Tahapan-tahapan yang dilakukan yaitu, mengetahui total beban harian, menghitung komponen Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Surya (PLTS) yang sesuai kebutuhan, pengujian untuk mendapatkan nilai efisiensinya dan keekonomiannya. Parameter yang digunakan dalam pengambilan data produksi PLTS yaitu tegangan keluaran dan arus keluaran. Data-data yang diambil meliputi pemilihan komponen PLTS, data produksi panel surya, solar charge controller (SCC), baterai, inverter dan data konsumsi beban. Total beban harian pada warung UMKM sebesar 1710 Wh. Maka dibutuhkan panel surya kapasitas sebanyak 6 buah panel surya berkapasitas 100 WP jenis Poly-Crystalline, Solar Charge Controller (SCC) tipe Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) berkapasitas 60 A, baterai dengan jenis VRLA 12 V 200 Ah, dan Inverter jenis Pure Sine Wave (PWM)1000 W. Hasil penelitian menunjukan pada pengujian selama 7 hari didapatkan efisiensi masing-masing komponen yaitu panel surya sebesar 7,92 %, solar charge controller (SCC) sebesar 70,00 %, baterai sebesar 72,35 %, dan inverter sebesar 95,92 %. Produksi total energi listrik PLTS selama 7 hari didapatkan rata-rata sebesar 1,362 kWh. Sedangkan konsumsi beban harian rata-rata selama 7 hari sebesar 1,392 kWh. Untuk kelayakan ekonomi didapatkan biaya investasi sistem lifetime selama 20 tahun PLTS sebesar Rp.27.645.000, tarif LCOE harga listrik sebesar Rp.2781,14/kWh, pay back period (PBP) 20 tahun dan nilai NPV positif.
