Abstract
In summary, this thesis will explain about how the work of a cultural form in relation to the existence in a costume. The costumes in question are cosplay. The passion for Japanese anime, manga, and video game products has led to the phenomenon of exhibitions and costume shows called cosplay. By displaying exhibitions and cosplay costume demonstration activities that are closely related to the world of hyperreality and imagery abstraction, one can have a creative identity that is a self-concept. The concept of self shapes our social reality, for example as we are active in social reality which is in accordance with our self-image. And also not only being a fan but instead attracting the audience to become fans. As a reference, the cosplay costume show will be in the form of a cultural style. It is hoped that through the results of this research, a study of cultural style formations can be further peeled and deepened again so that it can finally enrich an understanding of them Singkatnya, skripsi ini akan menjelaskan tentang bagaimana cara kerja sebuah bentuk kebudayaan dalam keterkaitannya dengan eksistensi dalam sebuah kostum. Adapun kostum yang dimaksud iyalah cosplay. Kegemaran akan produk anime, manga, dan video game asal Jepang, menyebabkan munculah fenomena kegiatan pameran dan peragaan kostum bernama cosplay. Dengan menampilkan kegiatan pameran dan peragaan kostum cosplay yang berkaitan erat dengan dunia hiperrealitas dan abstraksi pembayangan, seseorang bisa memiliki kreatifitas identitas yang menjadi konsep diri (Self-Concept). Konsep diri membentuk realitas sosial kita, contohnya seperti kita aktif dalam realitas sosial yang sesuai dengan citra diri sendiri. Dan juga tidak hanya menjadi penggemar melainkan malah menarik para audiens untuk menjadi penggemarnya. dikupas dan diperdalam kembali sehingga pada akhirnya dapat memperkaya suatu pemahaman tentang mereka.
