Abstract
The Jakarta region has a tropical climate with temperatures ranging from 24 ℃ to 33 ℃ so that it has an impact on the high consumption of electricity due to the use of artificial air. Impressive modern and futuristic city development is a phenomenon of the concept of building appearance characterized by the use of glass that is dominant in the building envelope as well as that applied to the Tower Building of Mercu Buana University. In an effort to conserve energy, the government through the Indonesian National Standardization Agency contained in SNI 03-6389- 2011 determines the limit of the overall thermal transfer value on the outer wall or the Overall Thermal Transfer Value (OTTV) with a maximum of 35 Watt / m2. This study aims to produce a sheath design reference and obtain the causal factors that affect the magnitude of the OTTV value from the results of simulating the calculation of all the variables. OTTV calculations at the Tower Building of the University of Mercu Buana consist of 3 components of value, namely: calculation of conduction through wall values, glass calculation through glass and radiation calculation through glass on four building facades, namely East, West, North and South. By calculating the entire OTTV, the total OTTV value is obtained, which is 55.25 Watts / m2 and has not met SNI standards. Wilayah jakarta yang beriklim tropis dengan suhu berkisar antara 24℃ hingga 33℃ sehingga berdampak pada tingginya konsumsi energi listrik akibat dari penggunaan penghawaan buatan. Perkembangan kota yang berkesan modern dan futuristik merupakan fenomena konsep tampilan bangunan dengan bercirikan penggunaan kaca yang dominan pada selubung bangunan seperti halnya yang diterapkan pada bangunan gedung Tower Universitas Mercu Buana. Dalam upaya konservasi energi pemerintah melalui Badan Standarisasi Nasional Indonesia yang dimuat dalam SNI 03-6389-2011 menentukan batasan nilai perpindahan termal menyeluruh pada dinding luar atau disebut dengan Overall Thermal Transfer Value (OTTV) maksimal 35 Watt/m2. Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan acuan desain selubung dan mendapatkan faktor penyebab yang mempengaruhi besaran nilai OTTV dari hasil melakukan simulasi perhitungan terhadap semua variabelnya. Perhitungan OTTV pada Gedung Tower Universitas Mercu Buana terdiri 3 komponen nilai yaitu: perhitungan nilai konduksi melalui dinding, perhitungan Koduksi melalui kaca dan perhitungan radiasi melalui kaca terhadap empat orientasi fasad bangunan yaitu Timur, Barat, Utara dan selatan. Dengan melalukan perhitungan seluruh OTTV nya maka diperolehan hasil total nilai OTTV yaitu 55,25 Watt/m2 dan belum memenuhi standar SNI.
