Abstract

A baby bed is one product that basically functions as a temporary crib container when the baby is asleep. Baby beds have potential that can be developed to combine with other needs, not just as a bed. The author observes the number of activities of infants aged 1 month to 3 months so that the needs in their products also differ according to their needs and activities. From the facts, the writing sees a need for the use of baby activity products that can facilitate users. "The Big Box" is a baby crib product designed to provide the comfort and convenience of parents in the needs of baby activities. In addition, this baby bed has several functions besides sleeping bed, there is also a swing, placemat for babies after bathing and also there are 2 beds. This product is made based on research on baby's needs and activities. The basic material of this product is meranti wood. In collaboration with one of the local wood craftsmen, the author intends to make baby bed products that can be accepted by parents. The application of concepts and themes in the form of the use of white and black in addition to giving the impression of comfort and calm to infants at the age of 0-3 months of sighting senses have not developed perfectly, so that he can only see black and gray. Keywords: Wood, Baby Beds, and Baby Activities. Memakai Tempat tidur bayi salah satu produk yang pada dasarnya berfungsi sebagai wadah tempat tidur bayi sementara pada saat bayi tertidur. Tempat tidur bayi memiliki potensi yang bisa di kembangkan untuk menggabungkan dengan kebutuhan lain, tidak hanya sebagai tempat tidur saja. Penulis mengamati banyaknya aktifitas bayi usia 1bulan sampai 3bulan sehingga kebutuhan dalam produknya pun berbeda beda sesuai kebutuhan dan aktifitasnya. Dari fakta tersebut penulisan melihat adanya kebutuhan untuk penggunaan produk-produk aktifitas bayi yang dapat memudahkan pengguna. “The Big Box” merupakan produk tempat tidur bayi yang dirancang untuk memberikan kenyamanan dan kemudahan orang tua dalam kebutuhan aktifitas bayi. Selain itu tempat tidur bayi ini memilki beberapa fungsi selain untuk tidur tempet tidur ini juga ada ayunan, tatakan untuk bayi setelah mandi dan juga terdapat 2 tempat tidur. Produk ini dibuat berdasarkan riset kebutuhan dan aktifitas bayi. Bahan dasar dari produk ini yaitu kayu meranti. Bekerjasama dengan salah satu pengrajin kayu lokal, penulis berniat untuk membuat produk tempat tidur bayi yang dapat diterima oleh para orang tua. Penerapan konsep dan tema berupa penggunaan warna putih dan hitam selain untuk memberikan kesan nyaman dan tenang pada bayi pada usia 0-3bulan indra pengelihatannya belum berkembang sempurna, sehingga ia baru dapat melihat hitam dan abu abu saja.
