Abstract

KAROWEL: PENGEMBANGAN ALAT MUSIK KARINDING DENGAN RUANG RESONANSI DAN PICKUP Muh. Farhan Trisno Aji 419128210003 ABSTRAK Alat musik tradisional merupakan alat musik warisan budaya yang sudah ada sejak dulu kala yang sepantasanya kita jaga dan lestarikan secara turun temurun, salah satu nya alat musik tradisional khas jawa barat yaitu karinding, Karinding juga sebuah alat musik yang cukup tua yang sering digunakan oleh orang tua terdahulu sejak sebelum ditemukannya kecapi, yang usia kecapi itu sendiri sudah mencapai lebih dari lima ratus tahun, diperkirakan alat musik ini sudah lebih tua dari 600 tahun dan ada yang menyebutkan bahwa alat musik ini sudah dipergunakan sejak jaman purba dulu sekitar era megalitikum. karinding sendiri merupakan alat musik tradisional yang mulai pudar di kalangan masyarakat dikarenakan mulai berkurangnya seniman dan produsen karinding, sehingga menyebabkan saat ini tak banyak orang tahu dengan alat musik karinding, makadari itu penulis tertarik untuk merancang suaru produk sebagai media pengenalan terhadap masyarakat umum, dengan mengunggulkan keunikan dan pembaharuan secara moderen guna menarik minat dan simpatik masyarakat terhadap alat musik tradisional. Farhan Trisno Aji 419128210003 ABSTRACT Traditional musical instruments are cultural heritage musical instruments that have existed since time immemorial which we should protect and preserve from generation to generation, one of which is a traditional western Javanese musical instrument, namely karinding, Karinding is also a fairly old musical instrument that is often used by parents since before the invention of the harp, the age of the harp itself has reached more than five hundred years, it is estimated that this musical instrument is more than 600 years old and some say that this instrument has been used since ancient times around the megalithic era. Karinding itself is a traditional musical instrument that is starting to fade in the community due to the shortage of karinding artists and producers, causing currently not many people know about karinding musical instruments, therefore the author is interested in designing a product as a medium of introduction to the general public, by favoring uniqueness and modern renewal in order to attract public interest and sympathy for traditional musical instruments.
