Abstract

ABSTRAK Kualitas merupakan hal yang paling penting bagi perusahaan, aspek kualitas adalah hal yang harus diperhatikan dalam membuat sebuah produk. Produk botol yang diproduksi oleh PT. Tirta Alam Segar meunjukan persentasi cacat yang sangat tinggi, hal ini menunjukan bahwa pengendalian kualitas di perusahaan masih belum maksimal. Data menunjukan bahwa persentase cacat produk botol mencapai 9% dimana jenis cacat paling dominan adalah cacat botol bolong. Hal ini disebabkan oleh faktor manusia yang lalai, material yang kurang bagus dan kondisi mesin yang mengalami masalah. Penelitian ini memilih metode DMAIC untuk mengatasi permasalahan kualitas pada produk botol. Melalui metode DMAIC dihasilkan usulan perbaikan yang dapat diimplementasikan di lapangan dengan memperbaiki akar masalah yang ada mulai dari membuat polarised light untuk sampling material preform dan melakukan penambahan adjuster stoper pada streaching road. sehingga persentase cacat pada produk botol menurun sebesar 2,2% dan level sigma perusahaan meningkat sebesar 0,09. Bottle products produced by PT. Tirta Alam Segar shows a very high percentage of defects, this shows that the quality control in the company is still not optimal. The data shows that the percentage of bottled product defects reaches 9% where the most dominant type of defect is a perforated bottle defect. This is caused by negligent human factors, poor materials and the condition of the machine having problems. This study chose the DMAIC method to overcome quality problems in bottled products. Trought the DMAIC methode, poposed improvements can be made that can be implement in the field by fixing the root of the problem, starting from making polarized light for sampling preform material and adding an adjuster stoper on the streaching road. so that the precentage of defects in bottle products decreased by 2,2% and the company's sigma level increased by 0.09.
