Abstract

ABSTRAK Perusahaan dalam penelitian ini merupakan perusahaan manufaktur furniture. Permasalahan yang sering terjadi adalah sering terjadi ketidaktersediaan material saat proses produksi berlangsung yang berdampak pada berhentinya proses produksi. Ketidaktersediaan material ini dikarenakan adanya perbedaan jumlah stock persediaan material di sistem informasi dengan stock aktual. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor penyebab sekaligus perbaikan dari ketidaktersediaan material dengan menggunakan metode RCA dan 5S. Dari hasil analisa didapatkan beberapa perbaikan seperti penambahan jumlah tingkat rak, memberi label identitas dan stock card, membuat SOP in out material, daftar piket dan training kepada karyawan. Dengan adanya perbaikan ini, persediaan material terjaga dan potensi berhentinya lini produksi berkurang. The problem that often occurs is that there is often an unavailability of materials during the production process which has an impact on the cessation of the production process. The unavailability of this material is due to the difference in the amount of stock material inventory in the information system with the actual stock. This study aims to identify the causal factors as well as the improvement of the unavailability of materials using the RCA and 5S methods. From the results of the analysis, several improvements were found, such as increasing the number of shelves, giving identity labels and stock cards, making SOPs in out materials, picket lists and training for employees. With this improvement, material inventory is maintained and the potential for production line downtime is reduced. Keywords: Root Cause Analysis, 5S, Lean, Material Unavailability
