Abstract
ABSTRAK PT. Summit Adyawinsa Indonesia merupakan salah satu cabang dari adyawinsa grup yang bergerak dalam bidang pembuatan kerangka reinforce mobil. Salah satu prioritas manajemen adalah meningkatkan mutu produk dengan menekan atau mengurangi presentase defect. Peneliti menerapkan metode Quality Control Circle dengan menganalisa faktor dan defect dominan sebagai penyebab tingginya presentase defect, metode PDCA dilakukan untuk mengurai masalah serta memberikan tindakan perbaikan dengan alat bantu QC7Tool dan 5-Why. Periode Januari sampai Desember 2021 teridentifikasi total defect rata-rata 56% yang diuraikan jenis defect tertinggi dalam kategori construction dies adalah defect wave sebesar 60.7%. Berdasarkan analisis penyebab defect wave terdapat 5 faktor yang terdiri dari faktor manusia (tidak melakukan pengecheckan saat setting parameter), faktor material (penggunaan spesifikasi material salah), faktor metode ( salah pemasangan posisi produk terhadap tooling), faktor mesin (tidak adanya stopper safety stroke), faktor lingkungan (area tooling tidak dibersihkan mengakibatkan terganjal scrapt). Maka tindakan perbaikan yang harus dilakukan adalah memberikan training setting parameter mesin, mengganti kanban manual menjadi kanban digital, instalasi stopper safety stroke dan training pentingnya 5S. Setelah tindakan perbaikan tersebut dilakukan presentase total defect rata-rata mengalami penurunan menjadi 28%. Summit Adyawinsa Indonesia is one of the branches of the Adyawinsa group which is engaged in the manufacture of car reinforce frames. One of the management priorities is to improve product quality by suppressing or reducing the percentage of defects. The researcher applies the Quality Control Circle method by analyzing the dominant factors and defects as the cause of the high percentage of defects, the PDCA method is carried out to unravel the problem and provide corrective action using the QC7Tool and 5-Why tools. From January to December 2021, an average total defect of 56% was identified. The highest type of defect in the construction dies category was the defect wave of 60.7%. Based on the analysis of the causes of the defect wave, there are 5 factors consisting of human factors (not checking when setting parameters), material factors (using incorrect material specifications), method factors (wrong product positioning against tooling), machine factors (absence of stopper safety stroke). ), environmental factors (tooling area is not cleaned resulting in blocked scrapt). So the corrective actions that must be taken are providing training on setting machine parameters, changing manual kanban to digital kanban, installing stopper safety strokes and training on the importance of 5S.
