Abstract

Devore technique is a technique to destroy or burn cotton fabric in which a mixture of fibers undergoes a chemical process to dissolve cellulose fibers to create a semi-transparent fabric that is denser. Cellulose fiber is fiber derived from plants such as seeds, leaves, fruits, and stems. Devore originated in France which was popularized in the 1920s and was redeveloped by Jasper Conran in 1980. Fiber has been known to people for thousands of years before Christ, such as in 2.640 BC China has produced silk fiber and by 1,540 BC the cotton industry was established in India, the first Fibbflax was used in Switzerland in 10,000 BC and wool fibers began to be used by people in Mesopotamia in 3000 BC For thousands of years flax fiber, wool, silk and cotton served the most human needs. At the beginning of the 20th century artificial fibers began to be introduced until now various types of manufactured fibers. . Keywords: Exploration Devore Technique, application, goose motif, fiber Teknik Devore merupakan teknik merusdak atau membakar pada kain katun dimana serat campuran mengalami proses kimia untuk melarutkan serat selulosa untuk menciptakan semi transparan terhadap kain yang lebih padat. Serat selulosa yaitu serat yang bersal dari tumbuh-tumbuhan seperti misalnya biji,daun,buah, dan batang. Devore berasal dari perancis yang dipopulerkan pada tahun 1920-an dan dikembangkan kembali oleh Jasper Conran pada tahun 1980. Serat dikenal orang sejak ribuan tahun sebelum Masehi seperti pada tahun 2.640 SM Negara cina sudah menghasilkan serat sutera dan tahun 1.540 SM telah berdiri industry kapas di India , Seratbflax pertama digunakan di Swiss pada tahun 10.000 SM dan serat wol mulai digunakan orang di Mesopotamia pada tahun 3000 SM. Selama ribuan tahun serat flax, wol, sutera dan kapas melayani kebutuhan manusia paling banyak. Pada awal abad ke 20 mulai diperkenalkan serat buatan hingga sekarang bermacam-macam jenis serat buatan produksi. . Kata Kunci : Teknik Devore Eksplorasi, penerapan, motif angsa,serat
