Abstract
Asthma is a respiratory disease characterized by inflammation of the lower respiratory tract. Asthma can attack all people, both young people, adults, to the elderly, and can even survive in normal lung conditions. Various factors can be the cause of the recurrence of asthma, such as genetic factors, a polluted environment, viruses, food, to the presence of rodents. Based on data from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia through basic health research in 2018 showed the percentage of people with asthma in the population of all ages in Indonesia touched the figure of 2.4%, with the provinces contributing to the highest asthma sufferers including the Special Region of Yogyakarta, East Kalimantan province, Bali province, the province of Central Kalimantan, and the province of North Kalimantan. In this research, An expert system based on a mobile application is made for the diagnosis of asthma using the forward chaining method. A mobile application is a set of software found on a mobile phone or commonly called a smartphone. Indonesia occupies the 4th position of the country with the largest number of smartphone users in the world with a total of 158,667,000 users. The forward chaining method works starting from the existing facts and then matching these facts with the IF block in the IF-THEN rules. If there are facts that match the IF block, then a rule is executed. This process is carried out from the top rule and each rule is executed once. This expert system applies a total of 11 asthma symptom datasets, 10 types of asthma datasets, and 10 rules created using the native Kotlin programming language by applying the MVVM and clean architecture patterns. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the forward chaining method works well for the available datasets. Testing is done by providing input in the form of symptom data into the system from 2 different rules to find out the resulting output. Key words: asthma; forward chaining, kotlin, expert system; mobile application Asma merupakan penyakit pernapasan yang ditandai dengan peradangan saluran pernapasan bawah. Asma dapat menyerang semua kalangan baik kalangan muda, dewasa, hingga lansia, bahkan bisa bertahan dalam kondisi paru-paru normal sekalipun. Berbagai macam faktor dapat menjadi penyebab kambuhnya penyakit asma, seperti faktor genetik, lingkungan yang berpolusi, virus, makanan, hingga keberadaan hewan pengerat. Berdasarkan data Kementerian Kesehatan Republik Indonesia melalui riset kesehatan dasar tahun 2018 menunjukkan persentase penderita asma pada penduduk semua umur di Indonesia menyentuh angka sebesar 2,4%, dengan provinsi penyumbang penderita asma tertinggi meliputi provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta, provinsi Kalimantan Timur, provinsi Bali, provinsi Kalimantan Tengah, dan provinsi Kalimantan Utara. Dalam penelitian ini, dibuat suatu sistem pakar berbasis mobile application untuk diagnosis asma menggunakan metode forward chaining. Mobile application atau aplikasi mobile adalah seperangkat software yang terdapat pada telepon genggam atau biasa disebut smartphone. Indonesia menempati posisi ke-4 negara dengan jumlah pengguna smartphone terbanyak dunia dengan total pengguna sebesar 158,667,000. Metode forward chaining bekerja dimulai dari fakta yang ada kemudian dilakukan pencocokan terhadap fakta tersebut dengan blok IF pada rules IF-THEN. Jika terdapat fakta yang cocok dengan blok IF, maka sebuah rule dijalankan. Proses ini dilakukan dari rule paling atas dan tiap rule dijalankan satu kali. Sistem pakar ini menerapkan total 11 dataset gejala asma, 10 dataset jenis asma, dan 10 aturan (rule) yang dibuat menggunakan bahasa pemrograman native Kotlin dengan menerapkan pola arsitektur MVVM dan clean architecture. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode forward chaining bekerja dengan baik terhadap dataset yang tersedia. Pengujian dilakukan dengan memberi masukan berupa data-data gejala ke dalam sistem yang berasal dari 2 rule berbeda untuk mengetahui output yang dihasilkan.
