Abstract

Internet access is a major need in this era, the internet network must have a good and stable connection, this can be achieved if you have 2 or more internet lines. Gedung Utama Rumah Sakit Bhayangkara Lemdiklat Polri already using 2 internet lines but their utilization is not optimal and is still manual. In overcoming this problem, the researchers used the ECMP load balancing method and the failover recursive gateway. Load Balancing itself is a technique for dividing the load and separating network paths so that the workload received is small and makes the connection more stable. Failover Recursive Gateway is a technique for checking network paths, this function will automatically backup when one of the network paths fails or disconnects. From the results of the Quality of Service (QoS) test, it is proven that the load balancing method can make network connections more optimal. Key words: Equal Cost Multi Path, Load Balancing, Quality of Service, Recursive Gateway Akses internet menjadi kebutuhan utama pada era ini, jaringan internet harus memiliki koneksi yang baik dan stabil hal ini dapat tercapai jika memiliki 2 jalur internet atau lebih. Gedung Utama Rumah Sakit Bhayangkara Lemdiklat Polri sudah menggunakan 2 jalur internet tetapi pemanfaatannya belum optimal dan masih manual. Dalam mengatasi masalah ini maka peneliti menggunakan metode load balancing ECMP dan failover recursive gateway. Load Balancing sendiri adalah teknik untuk membagi beban dan memisahkan jalur network sehingga beban kerja yang diterima menjadi kecil dan membuat koneksi menjadi lebih stabil. Failover Recursive Gateway merupakan teknik pengecekan jalur network, fungsi ini akan secara otomatis melakukan backup ketika salah satu jalur network mengalami kegagalan atau putus koneksi. Dari hasil pengujian Quality of Service(QoS) terbukti bahwa metode load balancing dapat membuat koneksi jaringan menjadi lebih optimal. Kata kunci: Equal Cost Multi Path, Load Balancing, Quality of Service, Recursive Gateway.
