Abstract
Belt Conveyor is one of the most widely used machines in industry and has an important role in the production process because it is used for large quantities of goods transport systems. Due to high production demands, the performance of the conveyor belt needs to be considered, on the conveyor belt there are often problems that can cause breakdown, namely misstracking on the conveyor belt. To fix the misstracking problem, an automatic adjuster belt conveyor based on PLC Omron CP1L was designed. In this automatic adjuster belt conveyor, misstracking is corrected with an automation system, the adjustment process is carried out using a motor to turn the thread of the tail pulley adjuster with an electric motor and gearbox forward or reverse based on input in the form of a belt sway switch located on the left and right of the conveyor belt. Based on the test results, it is found that it is able to return the position of the conveyor belt that has mistracked to normal again through the adjustment process with the average time required for adjustment to the left is 81 seconds and for adjustment to the left is 68 seconds. Adjustment is done by turning the adjuster thread on the tail pulley belt conveyor using a gearbox motor. in one adjustment can change the position of the tail pulley by 1 (one) centimeter, and produce a shift in the conveyor belt with an average shift to the right of 27 mm, and a shift to the left of 29 mm. Keyword : Belt conveyor, Misstracking, Adjuster, PLC Belt Conveyor merupakan salah satu mesin yang paling banyak digunakan di industry dan memiliki peran penting dalam proses produksi karena digunakan untuk sistem pengangkutan barang dalam jumlah besar. Sehubungan dengan tuntutan produksi yang tinggi kinerja dari belt conveyor perlu diperhatikan, pada belt conveyor sendiri sering terdapat kendala yang dapat menyebabkan breakdown yaitu kendala misstracking pada belt conveyor. Untuk mengatasi masalah misstracking tersebut dilakukan rancang bangun alat berupa automatic adjuster belt conveyor berbasis PLC Omron CP1L. Pada alat automatic adjuster belt conveyor ini misstracking diatasi dengan sistem otomatisasi, proses adjustment dilakukan dengan menggunakan motor untuk memutar ulir adjuster tail pulley dengan bantuan motor listrik dan gearbox secara forward atau reverse berdasarkan input yang berupa belt sway switch yang terdapat di sebelah kiri dan kanan belt conveyor. Dari hasil pengujian yang telah dilakukan, diperoleh hasil bahwa alat ini mampu mengembalikan posisi belt conveyor yang mengalami misstracking menjadi normal Kembali melalui proses adjustment dengan rata-rata waktu yang diperlukan untuk adjustment ke sebelah kiri adalah 81 Detik dan untuk adjustment ke sebelah kiri adalah 68 Detik. Adjustment dilakukan dengan memutar ulir adjuster yang terdapat pada tail pulley belt conveyor menggunakan motor gearbox. Dalam satu kali adjustment dapat merubah posisi tail pulley sebanyak 1 (satu) centimeter, dan menghasilkan pergeseran belt conveyor dengan rata-rata pergeseran ke kanan sebanyak 27 mm, dan pergeseran ke kiri sebanyak 29 mm.
