Abstract

PT Indonesia Power is a subsidiary of PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero) which is a BUMN Desalination Unit 5-7 (Suralaya) - PT Indonesia Power, there are many types of pumps used, one of which is the pump used is a Brine recycle pump type Centrifugal Pump. This Brine recycle pump is used to circulate Brine water into the evaporator. In this thesis the author wants to study the re-planning of the Brine recycle pump installation in Desalination Unit 5-7 (Suralaya) - PT Indonesia Power. This is related to how effective the installation head is, the capacity, power and selection of the pump used. In this re-calculation, the capacity for Brine recycle pump installation with maximum capacity = 1100 m3 / hour with effective head installation (Heff) = 7,862 m, NPSHa = 1,785 m and the motor power = 24.19 kW. So from the results of these calculations, a single stage centrifugal pump Ebara Pump brand MSF-3150 m3 / D desalination plant can be chosen. . Keywords; Brine recycle pump, capacity, head, power. Keywords; Brine recycle pump, capacity, head, power PT Indonesia Power merupakan anak perusahaan dari PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero) yang merupakan BUMN Desalination Unit 5-7 (Suralaya) – PT Indonesia Power, terdapat banyak sekali jenis pompa yang digunakan, salah satunya adalah pompa yang digunakan adalah Brine recycle pump jenis Centrifugal Pump. Brine recycle pump ini digunakan untuk mensirkulasikan Brine water ke dalam evaporator. Dalam tugas akhir ini penulis ingin mempelajari perencanaan ulang instalasi Brine recycle pump pada Desalination Unit 5-7 (Suralaya) – PT Indonesia Power. Hal ini terkait dengan bagaimana head efektif instalasi, kapasitas, daya serta pemilihan pompa yang digunakan. Pada perhitungan ulang ini, didapatkan kapasitas untuk instalasi Brine recycle pump dengan kapasitas maksimal = 1100 m3/jam dengan head effektif instalasi (Heff) sebesar = 7,862 m, NPSHa sebesar = 1,785 m serta didapatkan daya motor sebesar = 24,19 kW. Sehingga dari hasil perhitungan - perhitungan tersebut dapat dipilih pompa sentrifugal single stage merk Ebara Pump dengan type MSF-3150 m3/D Desalination Plant .
