Abstract

The development of telecommunications system networks is currently heading towards to NGN (Next Generation Network), communication needs must be more optimal and effective.. This final project aims to implement Voice over Internet Protocol-based IPPBX networks at Profindo Karya Utama company by analyzing QoS (Quality of Service) parameters on VoIP networks such as Delay, Jitter, Packet Loss, and Troughtput monitoring them using Wireshark software so the quality of voice services can be detected on VoIP. Theories that serve as benchmarks are literature study, reference studies, measurement, and analysis as well as discussions with supervisors related to material. The research focused on comparing the use of the best combination codecs between GSM-G.711 uLaw and GSM-G.711 aLaw by analyzing several parameters related to VoIP service quality using SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) protocol and server load such as CPU and Memory Load. Measurements are made in Real-Time to see the statistics of VoIP network with various results. Key words: VoIP, SIP (Session Initiation Protocol), NGN (Next Generation Network) Perkembangan jaringan sistem telekomunikasi saat ini sedang menuju NGN (Next Generation Network), kebutuhan komunikasi harus lebih optimal dan efektif. Tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasi jaringan IPPBX berbasis Voice over Internet Protocol pada PT. Profindo Karya Utama dengan menganalisis beberapa parameter QoS (Quality of Service) pada jaringan VoIP seperti Delay, Jitter, Packet Loss, dan Troughtput memonitoringnya dengan menggunakan software Wireshark sehingga dapat diketahui kualitas layanan suara pada VoIP. Teori yang menjadi tolak ukur yaitu studi literature, studi referensi, pengukuran dan analisis serta diskusi dengan pembimbing terkait materi yang berhubungan. Pembahasan difokuskan kepada membandingkan penggunaan kombinasi codec terbaik antara GSM-G.711 uLaw dan GSM-G.711 aLaw dengan menganalisa beberapa parameter terkait kualitas layanan VoIP menggunakan protokol SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) dan beban server seperti CPU dan Memori Load. Pengukuran dilakukan secara Real-Time untuk melihat data statistik jaringan VoIP dengan berbagai hasil. Kata kunci: VoIP, SIP (Session Initiation Protocol), NGN (Next Generation Network)
