Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to examine and analyze the difference of financial performance between 3 years before IPO and 3 years after IPO to the company that is listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2011. The financial performance is showed by the financial ratio. There are Current Ratio (CR), Quick Ratio (QR), Debt Ratio (DR), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Return On Equity (ROE), Return On Asset (ROA), Total Asset Turn Over (TATO), and Fixed Asset Turn Over (FATO). The sampling method used was purposive sampling. From population of 25 companies, 15 companies met the criteria to be the sample. The method of analysis used in this study is paired sample t test. The results showed that the performance DR, ROA, and TATO of the company did go public after IPO experiencing are significant increase with significantly 5%, but CR, QR, DER, ROE, and FATO are decreased compared to before going public. Keywords: Financial performance, IPO, go public. http://digilib.mercubuana.ac.id/ ii ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji dan menganalisis perbedaan kinerja keuangan antara 3 tahun sebelum IPO dan 3 tahun sesudah IPO terhadap perusahaan yang terdaftar pada Bursa Efek Indonesia tahun 2011. Kinerja keuangan tersebut digambarkan melalui rasio keuangan. Rasio-rasio tersebut diantaranya adalah Current Ratio (CR), Quick Ratio (QR), Debt Ratio (DR), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Return On Equity (ROE), Return On Asset (ROA), Total Asset Turn Over (TATO), dan Fixed Asset Turn Over (FATO). Metode sampling yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah purposive sampling. Dari populasi 25 perusahaan, 15 perusahaan memenuhi kriteria menjadi sampel. Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah paired sample t test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kinerja DR, ROA, dan TATO dari perusahaan yang go public mengalami peningkatan secara signifikan setelah IPO dengan tingkat signifikansi 5%, namun untuk kinerja CR, QR, DER, ROE, dan FATO mengalami penurunan jika dibandingkan dengan kinerja sebelum IPO.
