Abstract

With the development of electronic information technology, the types and quantity of electronic equipment have increased dramatically. In order to meet whatever military needs in modem battlefield or people's needs for daily life, more and more antennas used for different purposes are installed on the same equipment.Corrugated surfaces have been used for decades, Corrugated surface could be obtained with classical transverse corrugations (for the soft case) and with dielectric-filled longitudinal corrugations (for the hard). The antenna designed in this thesis is a corrugated surface antenna with a distribution by a transmitting antenna and a receiving antenna, and produces radiation from a corrugated surface at a working frequency of 60 GHz. In the design of the corrugated surface antenna using an aluminum substrate with a dielectric constant of 9.5 and for the antenna simulation process using Ansoft HFSS V18.0 software. From the simulation results and measurements of the corrugated surface antenna with a working frequency of 60 GHz, the simulation results of the V-band Waveguide Flange antenna with the freespace position get the return loss value of the simulation results (S11) -10,24 dB, (S21) -36,96 dB and the measurement results (S11) -16,55 dB, (S21) -38,71 dB. The simulation results with 5mm Gap antenna position return loss (S11) -5,65 dB, (S21) -116,02 dB and measurement results (S11) -28,7 dB, (S21) -49,92 dB. The simulation results of the 5mm Non Gap antenna position value of return loss (S11) -9,67 dB, (S21) -47,07 dB and measurement results (S11) -19,07 dB, (S21) -19,56 dB. The simulation results of the 11mm Gap antenna position value of return loss (S11) -11,4 dB, (S21) -33,21 dB and measurement results (S11) -16,45 dB, (S21) -34,94 dB. The simulation results of the Non Gap 11mm antenna position return loss (S11) -10.58 dB, (S21) -25,31 dB and measurement results (S11) -16,38 dB, (S21) -33,10 dB. Based on the research that has been done for the measurement of the corugated surface antenna with the distance of the transmitting antenna (Waveguide Flange V-band) the closer the distance to the corrugated surface antenna, the better the return loss value will be. Keywords : Return loss, Waveguide Flange V-band Dengan berkembangnya teknologi informasi elektronik, jenis dan jumlah peralatan elektronik telah meningkat secara pesat. Untuk memenuhi kebutuhan militer di medan perang modern atau memenuhi kebutuhan hidup sehari – hari masyarakat, banyak antena yang digunakan untuk tujuan yang berbeda dipasang di peralatan yang sama. Antena Permukaan bergelombang telah digunakan selama beberapa dekade. Permukaan bergelombang bisa diperoleh dengan kerut melintang klasik (untuk permukaan lembut) dan dengan kerut memanjang berisi dielektrik (untuk permukaan keras). Antena yang dirancang pada skrips ini adalah antena permukaan bergelombang dengan diberi pencatuan oleh antena pemancar dan antena penerima, serta menghasilkan radiasi dari permukaan bergelombang pada frekuensi kerja 60 GHz. Pada perancangan antena permukaan bergelombang menggunakan substrat aluminium dengan konstanta dielektrik 9,5. Untuk proses simulasi antena menggunakan perangkat lunak Ansoft HFSS V18.0. Dari hasil simulasi dan pengukuran antena permukaan bergelombang dengan frekuensi kerja 60 GHz, hasil simulasi antena Waveguide Flange V-band dengan posisi freespace mendapatkan nilai return loss hasil simulasi (S11) -10,24 dB, (S21) -36,96 dB dan hasil pengukuran (S11) -16,55 dB, (S21) -38,71 dB. Hasil simulasi dengan posisi antena Gap 5mm nilai return loss (S11) -5.65 dB, (S21) -116.02 dB dan hasil pengukuran (S11) -28,7 dB, (S21) -49,92 dB. Hasil simulasi posisi antena Non Gap 5mm nilai return loss (S11) -9,67 dB, (S21) -47,07 dB dan hasil pengukuran (S11) -19.07 dB, (S21) -19,56 dB. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan untuk pengukuran antena permukaan bergelombang dengan jarak antena pemancar (Waveguide Flange V-band) yang semakin dekat jaraknya dengan antena permukaan bergelombang maka nilai return loss yang dihasilkan semakin baik.
