Abstract

Globalization makes industry competition more intense. Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) are required to improve their ability to produce high quality products. They also need to make continuous improvements and continuously improve their performance in order to survive in the industrial world. In the industrial world, there are several companies that produce automotive spare parts. To make a product, the company requires a stage called the assembly process. From the process of making the product, there are several parts that enter the assembly process, one of which is the spring part. In the assembly process of the PT.A company, the spiral-shaped spring parts that are inserted into the storage container are often interconnected between one spring and another, so that the separation process is carried out manually by shaking the spring holding container until the spring is released from the spring pile. others, so that the assembly process becomes less effective. In this study, a simulation design of the prototype spring separator engine will be designed and the performance of the prototype spring separator engine analyzed. Making the design of this research simulation using solidworks. The results of the simulation design of the prototype spring separator engine were designed using variant 01 with a DC electric motor rotation system and continued with a pulley & V-Belt as a driver to rotate the separator tube until the spring came out of the separator tube output and fell onto the tray to touch the proximity sensor and also consider the tightness V-Belt which is regulated by the distance of pulley 1 and pulley 2 distance of 7 cm. With the results of the analysis of the performance of the prototype engine, the spring separator test 01 uses 5 springs until testing 06 uses 30 springs with the parameters used 5 rotations in 5 seconds using 56 RPM rotation the motor and 18 RPM rotation on the shaft get the results of the analysis test of 140% successful and only 4% unsuccessful in separating the interrelated springs, so it is concluded that the simulation design of the spring separator prototype machine is successful with its goals and benefits.the production process can be completed effectively compared to the manual method which has to shake the spring holding container until the spring is released from the other spring piles, which produces 10 springs in 2 minutes so that the production assembly process becomes less effective. Para Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) dituntut untuk meningkatkan kemampuannya memproduksi produk yang berkualitas tinggi. Mereka juga perlu melakukan perbaikan terus menerus dan meningkatkan kinerjanya secara kontinu agar dapat terus bertahan di dunia industri. Dalam dunia industri ada beberapa perusahaan yang memproduksi produk sparepart otomotif, untuk membuat suatu produk pada perusahaan diperlukan suatu tahapan yang disebut dengan proses assembly. Dari proses pembuatan produk terdapat beberapa bagian part yang masuk kedalam proses assembly salah satunya yaitu part spring . Didalam proses assembly perusahaan PT.A, part spring yang berbentuk spiral yang dimasukan ke wadah penampungan sering kali spring saling berkaitan antar spring yang satu dengan spring yang lainya, sehingga proses pemisahan dilakukan secara manual dengan cara menggoncangkan wadah penampungan spring hingga spring terlepas dari tumpukan spring yang lainya, sehingga proses assembly menjadi kurang efektif Pada penelitian ini akan di desain simulasi mesin prototipe spring separator dan dianalisis kinerja mesin prototipe spring separator. Pembuatan desain simulasi penelitian ini dengan menggunakan solidworks. Hasil desain simulasi mesin prototipe spring separator rancangan.menggunakan varian 01 dengan system putaran motor listrik DC dan diteruskan pulley & V-Belt sebagai penggerak untuk memutar tabung separator sampai spring keluar dari output tabung separator dan jatuh keatas tray hingga menyentuh sensor proximity serta mempertimbangkan juga kekencangan V-Belt yang diatur jarak pulley 1 dengan jarak pulley 2 berjarak 7 cm .Dengan hasil analisis kinerja mesin prototipe spring separator pengujian 01 mengunakan 5 spring sampai pengujian 06 menggunakan 30 spring dengan parameter yang digunakan 5 kali putaran dalam waktu 5 detik mengunakan 56 RPM putaran motor dan 18 RPM putaran pada poros mendapatkan hasil pengujian analisis 140% berhasil dan hanya 4% tidak berhasil memisahkan spring yang saling berkaitan, dengan begitu disimpulkan pembuatan desain simulasi mesin prototipe spring separator berhasil dengan tujuan dan manfaatnya Sehingga mempermudah pengambilan spring pada proses assembly m dan proses produksi dapat diselesaikan secara efektif dibandingkan cara manual yang harus menggoncangkan wadah penampungan spring hingga spring terlepas dari tumpukan spring yang lainya, yang menghasilkan 10 spring dalam waktu 2 menit sehingga proses assembly produksi menjadi menjadi kurang efektif .
