Abstract

The use of Smartphones or Smartphones among children is now a lifestyle, many parents who are busy working are forced to give Android phones to their children for daily communication. This greatly affects children in the use of internet technologies that are less healthy, such as using social media applications without parental monitoring so that children easily get words or information that are not suitable for consumption by children at that age, or play a game application without any time limit so that the use of time that is useful for children in developing themselves become confiscated in front of the Smartphone, the design of this application aims to create a monitoring system for smartphone usage in children by providing time limits on smartphone use and activity monitoring. Therefore, this system was designed using the Prototype method and the results of the application are in the form of a child surveillance application design that can be used to monitor smartphone usage activities on the Android platform with connected reports and can be monitored by parents through parent's smartphone. Key words: aplication, monitoring, information system, protorype, universitas mercu buana Penggunaan Smartphone atau Handphone Pintar di kalangan anak-anak saat ini sudah menjadi gaya hidup, banyak orangtua yang dengan alasan sibuk bekerja jadi terpaksa memberikan ponsel android kepada anak-anak mereka untuk melakukan komunikasi sehari-hari. Hal ini sangat mempengaruhi anak dalam pemanfaatan teknologi internet yang kurang sehat seperti menggunakan aplikasi sosial media tanpa pantauan orang tua sehingga anak-anak mudah mendapatkan kata-kata atau informasi yang tidak layak dikonsumsi oleh anak diusia tersebut, atau memainkan suatu aplikasi game tanpa ada batasan waktu sehingga pemanfaatan waktu yang bermanfaat untuk anak dalam mengembangakan diri menjadi tersita didepan Smartphone, Perancangan aplikasi ini bertujuan untuk membuat sistem pemantauan penggunaan Smartphone pada anak dengan memberikan batasan waktu dalam pemakaian smartphone dan pemantauan aktifitas. Oleh karena itu, Sistem ini dirancang dengan menggunakan metode Prototipe dan hasil dari aplikasi tersebut berupa rancangan aplikasi pengawasan anak yang dapat digunakan untuk memantau aktivitas penggunaan Smartphone pada platform android dengan laporan yang terhubungan dan dapat dipantau oleh orang tua melalui smartphone orang tua.
