Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze and measure the effect of profitability, audit committee and direction on the financial distress conditions experienced by manufacture trading companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The sampling method used in this study is the purposive sampling method. Based on this method there are 148 companies listed on the IDX obtained 91 companies that are eligible to be sampled, so that in 2 years of research obtained 182 observation data as samples. The data analysis method used in this study is multiple linear analysis with method SPSS 20. The results of this study indicate that profitability variable has a significant positive effect on financial distress while audit committee and direction significant negative effect on financial distress. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis dan mengukur pengaruh profitabilitas, komite audit dan direksi terhadap kondisi financial distress yang dialami perusahaan manufaktur di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Metode pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode purposive sampling. Berdasarkan metode tersebut terdapat dari 148 jumlah perusahaan yang terdaftar di BEI diperoleh 91 perusahaan yang layak dijadikan sampel, sehingga dalam 2 tahun penelitian diperoleh 182 data pengamatan sebagai sampel. Analisis data mengunakan pengujian regresi linear berganda dengan metode SPSS 20. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan profitabilitas berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap financial distress sedangkan komite audit dan direksi berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap financial distress.
