Abstract
The objective of this research was to determine the effect of profitability on stock price of consumer goods industry listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The stock price used is the year-end share price.The profitability are proxied by Net Profit Margin (NPM), Return on Asset (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), and Earnings Per Share (EPS). The object of this research used were 30 consumer goods companies selected based on the random purposive sampling method. This study used data processing multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS version 25.The results of this research were ROA and EPS havepositive effect on stock price, NPM had negative effect on stock price, amd ROE hadno effect on stock price Keywords: Profitability, Stock Price, NPM, ROA, ROE, EPS iv Abstrak Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh profitabilitas terhadap harga saham industri barang konsumsi yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI). Harga saham yang digunakan adalah harga saham akhir tahun. Profitabilitas diproksikan dengan Net Profit Margin (NPM), Return on Asset (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), dan Earnings Per Share (EPS). Objek penelitian yang digunakan adalah 30 perusahaan barang konsumsi yang dipilih berdasarkan metode random purposive sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan pengolahan data analisis regresi linier berganda berbantuan SPSS versi 25. Hasil penelitian ini adalah ROA dan EPS berpengaruh positif terhadap harga saham, NPM berpengaruh negatif terhadap harga saham, dan ROE tidak berpengaruh terhadap harga saham Kata kunci: Profitabilitas, Harga Saham, NPM, ROA, ROE, EPS
