Abstract
The profound indicator in describing the condition of a company is the level of productivity. A high productivity not meant capability of producing goods in large amount, but more to the company’s ability to manage the resources available in the company effectively and efficiently. To find out whether the productivity of the company experienced increase or decrease a productivity measurement is required. In this final assignment, the model of productivity’s measurement used is the measurement based on the Cobb-Douglas production function to find out the level of company’s productivity as a whole as well as, to find out the level of production elasticity of input used and the amount of efficiency of input usage in producing output. The result of calculation of the productivity of raw material, labour and machine from two different periods showed that the level of production efficiency of 2006 experienced an increase 0,1% compare to the level of production efficiency in 2005. Based on the factors which influence company’s productivity level, management policy in managing the resources should be reconsidered in enabling the company to complete. Key word : productivity, the Cobb-Douglas production function Indikator yang cukup jelas dalam menggambarkan kondisi suatu perusahaan adalah tingkat produktivitas. Produktivitas yang tinggi bukan berarti kemampuan untuk memproduksi barang dalam jumlah yang besar, tetapi lebih kepada kemampuan perusahaan dalam mengelola sumber-sumber daya yang ada di perusahaan secara efektif dan efisien. Untuk mengetahui apakah produktivitas perusahaan mengalami kenaikan atau penurunan, maka perlu dilakukan suatu pengukuran produktivitas. Pada tugas akhir ini, model pengukuran tingkat produktivitas yang digunakan adalah pengukuran berdasarkan fungsi produksi Cobb-Douglas agar tidak hanya mengetahui tingkat produktivitas perusahaan secara keseluruhan saja, tetapi juga untuk mengetahui seberapa besar tingkat elastisitas produksi dari input yang digunakan dan besarnya efisiensi penggunaan input dalam menghasilkan output. Hasil perhitungan dari tingkat produktivitas bahan baku, tenaga kerja dan mesin pada dua periode yang berbeda menunjukkan bahwa tingkat efisiensi produksi pada periode 2006 mengalami kenaikan sebesar 0,1% bila dibandingkan dengan tingkat efisiensi produksi pada periode 2005. Berdasarkan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi tingkat produktivitas perusahaan, kebijakan manajemen dalam mengelolah sumber-sumber daya perlu ditinjau kembali agar perusahaan dapat tumbuh menjadi perusahaan yang mampu untuk bersaing.
