Abstract

ABSTRAKSI Pertukaran data atau informasi banyak dilakukan menggunakan internet seperti melalui email. Kurangnya kesadaran pengguna internet dalam hal keamanan membuat kasus pencurian data kerap terjadi. Sehingga untuk mencegah hal yang dapat merugikan tersebut aspek keamanan untuk melindungi pertukaran data sangat diperlukan. Dalam mengamankan data tersebut dibuatlah sistem informasi dengan memanfaatkan teknik algoritma kompresi Huffman dan teknik kriptografi One Time Pad (OTP), yaitu teknik mengkompresi dan mengenkripsi data sehingga orang lain yang tidak memiliki akses tidak dapat membaca data asli dari data yang dikirimkan. Hasil dari file yang telah dikompresi dan dienkripsi oleh sistem menjadi data acak yang tidak dapat dibaca. Data yang sudah dikompres dan dienkripsi dapat dikembalikan menjadi seperti semula dengan cara melakukan dekripsi menggunakan sistem yang telah disediakan. Kata Kunci: Kompresi Huffman, Algortima One Time Pad, Kriptografi, Enkripsi, Dekripsi ABSTRACT Exchange of data or information is mostly done using the internet as through email. Lack of awareness of internet users in terms of security makes the case of data theft often occur. To prevent things that can harm these aspects of security, protection in the exchange of data is necessary. In securing data, information system is made by utilizing Huffman compression algorithm technique and cryptographic technique One Time Pad (OTP), which is a technique of compressing and encrypting data that other people who do not have access can not read the original data from transmitted data. The results of files that have been compressed and encrypted by the system become random data that can not be read. Data that has been compressed and encrypted can be restored by way of decryption using the system that has been provided.
