Abstract
Perkembangan industri bergerak begitu cepat kearah otomatisasi kerja, termasukpada PT.XYZ. Proses kerja pada PT. XYZ mulai diterapkan penggunaan sistemotomasi, salah satunya pada proses handling material. PT. XYZ mengubah proseshandling material dari penggunaan man power operator kerja dengan cara menarikmaterial dengan tenaga manusia menjadi sistem otomasi yaitu dengan menggunakantrolly yang ditarik menggunakan AGV (Automatic Guided Vehicle). Pada proseshandling material dengan menggunakan trolly AGV dibutuhkan stopper penahanmaterial agar material tidak jatuh. Perancangan stopper penahan box material padatrolly AGV PT. XYZ dibuat dengan memerhatikan kekuatan menahan beban sebesar300kg yang melaju dengan kecepatan 0,4 m/s dan besar ruang yang tersedia padatrolly AGV. Tujuan dari perancangan ini adalah untuk merancang stopper material yang dapat menahan beban kejut box berisi material dan dapat diaplikasikan dengansistem otomasi. Stopper penahan box material dirancang dalam beberapa tahappengerjaan, diawali dengan pembuatan alternatif desain menggunakan perangkat lunak solidwork,kemudian dilakukan penentuan desain berdasarkan kebutuhan.dantahap terakhir adalah analisis desain terpilih dengan perhitungan tegangan yangterjadi di setiap komponen desain terpilih. XYZ. The work process at PT. XYZ began to apply the use of automation systems, one of which was in the material handling process. PT. XYZchanged the material handling process from the use of manpower operator work bypulling material with human labor into an automation system that is using trolly that was pulled using AGV (Automatic Guided Vehicle). In the material handling processusing AGV trolly, a material retaining stopper is needed so that the material doesnot fall. Design of stopper box retaining material on the AGV trolly PT. XYZ ismade by observing the strength to withstand a load of 300 [kg] which goes with aspeed of 0.3 [m/s] and the amount of space available on the AGV trolly. Thepurpose of this design is to design a material stopper that can withstand the shockload of a box containing material and can be applied with an automation system. The stopper of box material is designed in several stages of work, beginning withmaking alternative designs using solidwork software, then make a selection of designs based on need. and the last step is the analysis of the chosen design with thecalculation of the stresses that occur in each component of the selected design.
